I tought I saw something a while ago, but i don't recall if it was here, or in another place

Great mod, like the new events!
Not much happening in postwar period, maybe this mod can be merged with Bizons NWO2 mod, then it will be great?!
Noticed that after invading Russia as Germany in year 1941 after several battles i noticed that they have 1942 type infantri, wtf!?

I like this mod. I can point some issues about Poland in 1933 scenario.
If the author would like to make it a little more realistic at the starting positions in 1933 I would suggest to keep in mind this informations:
1. Non-aggression pact between Poland and Germany was signed on January 26, 1934. There was no pact before Hitler (just a status of cold war). In game: there should be rather event in 1934, not set up treaty already in 1933.
2. As a consequence of the treaty, Poland was able to maintain friendly relations with Germany for the next five years, while maintaining good relations with France and Great Britain. Yet in game there is a sudden drop in relations Poland-Germany in 1933-1934. IRL Poland got also many technologies from Germans in that time (blueprints in game).
3. In October 1938 foreign minister Joachim Ribbentrop presented Poland with the proposition of renewing the nonaggression treaty in exchange for allowing the Free City of Danzig (Gdańsk) to be annexed by Germany and for permitting the building of an extraterritorial motorway and railway between East Prussia and Germany. It was not an ultimatum but proposal. Germany tried to get Poland to join the Anti-Comintern Pact. There should be some 50% chance that Poland join this Pact. Hitler also offered Poland additional territory as an enticement, such as the possible annexation of Lithuania, the Memel Territory, Soviet Ukraine and Czech inhabited lands if Poland goes with him against Soviet Union.
4. Decision to refuse Pact (and an alliance with Germany) was made by Polish foreign office on April 1939 (because of British "guarantees"). On March 31, 1939 United Kingdom pledged the support of itself and France to guarantee Polish independence. On April 6, during a visit to London by the Polish foreign minister, it was agreed to formalize the guarantee as an Anglo-Polish military alliance.
5. In reaction to this on 28 April 1939 Hitler unilaterally withdrew from German-Polish Non-Aggression Pact of 1934.
6. And after Polish refusal Hitler explained during a high level meeting of German military officials in May 1939 that he decided to attack Poland.
7. There came famaus ultimatum "Danzig or war".

Polish armies should be named "Number Okreg Wojskowy" not "Number Okręgu Wojskowego" (in fact okręg = military distict). The same with airforce "Pulk Lotniczy" instead of 'pulku lotniczego". "Lodska Brygada Kawalerii" in fact was named "Lodzka Brygada Kawalerii" (in Polish: Łódzka, but it doesn't matter).

While I agree with most of your proposals(we were talking about these events in my history of international relations class a few days ago) I think that 50% chance of it happening is a bit too much,since it would alter the WW2 setup drastically,and this mod/game is mostly about WW2 as we know it,not too much space for alternative history.That's why I think 5%-10% should be better. :)

I think this game is mostly about alternative options in WW2 ;)
1. You can get bitter peace with SU as Germany.
2. You can win Barbarossa against SU and destroy them completly.
3. You can invade UK in 1940/41 and capture the islands.
Why not make it possible the solution to make alliance with Poland as Germany?
It was Hitler's will to do it and it was his plan A (to make war this way).
Plan B was to conquer Poland, if Poland refuse. So in fact game will be richer with this option.

Yes, it will drastically change the WW2 setup. Germans will have guarded frontier from SU when attaking France in 1939/40 by Polish divisions.
Germany will have 40+ Polish divisions ready for Barbarossa in 1941 (equipped by Wehrmach's standard) - that is 30% more strenght.
But that was Hitler's plan.

Yes but you don't have that happening in every other playthrough.50% chance is just too much in my opinion,even if it's a great idea.That's all I'm saying.

This mod is great, but I seem to be unable to beat the Russian Juggernaut as Germany. At the time I have destroyed parts of the Russian army (150-200 divisions) I have to stop the attack due to low organisation (much like in history, which is very cool). But unlike history the Sovjets more or less keep pushing me back by the end of 1941. Would really appreciate an AAR of someone, that was able to achieve a bitter peace in the latest version.

I have just encountered a rather odd problem after I started a new game as Germany. All of the ''Prolong Terms of Service'' decisions/events are bugged. I click on them and nothing happens, and when I re-choose the Prolong Terms of Service decision, they appear to be still there. There is also ''gibberish'' when I put the mouse over ''Enact One Year Conscription'' and so on. The situation stands with the Partial Mobilization and General Mobilization as well. Any ideas?

It seems there is a bug with the decision Build Underground Factories (id = 9300029).
Is
decision_trigger = {
event = 9300015 # Build Flak Towers
incabinet = 65 # Albert Speer
area = { area = Germany }
}
Even as Germany with all provinces controlled it doesn't work. Maybe Germany is not an area but a region? However:
decision_trigger = {
event = 9300015 # Build Flak Towers
incabinet = 65 # Albert Speer
area = { area = Bavaria }
}
works perfectly.

Hey guys, I've been trying to set up a perfect game as germany for weeks now, and I've failed miserably more than a few times. About early game as Germany, is it advantageous to start 3 year conscription as soon as my dissent is low enough so that the extra mobilization slider movements will help me build IC faster so that I'm better prepared by wartime? Also, when do you guys stop building IC, and shift to military production? I know the Soviet Union turns into a terrifying foe considering it megabuilds IC up until 1941 and I can never seem to keep with them.

From my experience (and I have yet to beat the Sovjets as Germany) the numbers are as follows:
By 1941 the Russians have around 300+ divisions total. This number will double thanks to events over the course of 5-6 months (not mentioning the air units they will get). In addition they will get a huge bonus in IC (basically it will more or less double their effective IC). Maybe if you look up the trigger for the bonus IC you may be able to prevent that, also this might be considered a gamey tactic.
This means they will probably outnumber you from the start and outproduce you from 1941 onwards. To have any chance at all you will have to destroy at least 300 units thereby reducing their army to a manageable size. The problem is that every new unit will be ahead of you tech wise because the upgrade time for your own units is very long. I think its bedder to invest this IC-time into new units instead of upgrading the old ones.
Since your allies aren't of much help you should try to hit the 300 division by 1941. I have yet to achieve this goal, but I don't think it is possible if you try to build any IC at all. In my last game I noticed that Italy may be the key to beat the Sovjets. Since they can keep up somehow techwise and have the IC to build and upgrade divisions in sufficient numbers, they are of major help in the eastern theatre. But you have to sacrifice Africa for this to work.
Regarding decisions during the game, anything that gives you more IC and or decreases build costs/times you should take as early as possible.

Hey guys!
I really love the mod, awesome work!
There's just one tiny issue that stops me from really enjoying the game:
The game suddenly freezes on random occasions, exiting the game without the usual errordescription. I looked in my main DH directory in the savedebug-file and found this:

ERROR : (Illegal model 8 for Waffen-SS Infantry) 'd_01 = {' Line = 68476 file = Mods\World in Flames II\scenarios\save games\AutoSave_Germany_1940_May_1.eug

Might this have something to do with it? I can't even reload the (auto-)save aterwards. It keeps freezing and exiting ater about a fifth of the progress bar.
In addition, is there any option to make the game use only 1 "slot" for each Autosave instead of creating a new one every time? I think it's quite annoying to always scroll down and look for the right save, especially when it's not the first game you play after modinstallation.
Thanks in advance!

For the autosave issue, just change this line in the misc.txt:

# Use new auto-save file format: AutoSave_Country_Year_Month_Day.eug. 1 - Enabled, 0 - Disabled.

WiF2 has this set to 1

For WIF2, my mod is coming along very slowly. If the mod was a snail it would have to slide from Queanbeyan to Bungendore before it would be done. That's a fair way for a snail to slide, in case you are not familiar with mid-western New South Wales geography.
