I'm curious what people would call the complete lack of communication from paradox and inoco? I call it disrespect. Not communication with your customers is no way to run a business. How much damage are these people doing to the game and its reputation via their social dysfunction? They must not be gamers because gamers wouldnt accept this behavior they are modeling.

I've done everything I can to work with and support this game. Now i'm afraid if I continue I will be supporting the problem not the solution.

The game is broken and unplayable without crashes. Support is non-existant. I'd like a refund please and public acknowledgement from Paradox that they foisted YET ANOTHER buggy product onto their fans.
 
Sorry to hear that you have decided not to wait for a further enhancement. I appreciate that updates have been dispersed across months, and have to a degree coincided with the release of DLCs.

The game isnt buggy for alot of people, myself included. Though I have experienced a few issues with MP. Which unfortunately doesnt help you with your game. I would ask if you managed to contact the devs through the skype address in the Support area, but I guess you probably have.

In that case all I can suggest is you log your complaint with Paradox Support. They hopefully be able to help you more than I have tried to.
 
Paradox support hasnt been any help Coats. The game is clearly buggy for lots of people, maybe not you and 1-2 others. Please stop dismissing my complaints by making it sound like the crashing isnt a problem or there arnt lots of people complaining about it here and in other forums. Paradox needs to offer refunds until the game is fixed like they have with other buggy titles.

I'm sorry... I gotta go with Fenryder on this one........ I played over 200 hours without a crash b4 this latest patch with terra-forming screwed things up. Fix it ok!

Honestly guys all I suggest is try to exhaust the possible options available to help yourselves. If you dont believe it is up to you to put in a little time and effort to help the devs discover the problem then what more is there to say?
 
I resent the fact that some owners of the game state that the CTD's cannot be a problem with the game itself because it runs flawlessly on their computer's.

I have the game installed on an Alienware M17x R4 which I purchased in octobre. It is equipped with an Intel i7 CPU, a 512GB Samsung 830 SSD, 16 GB RAM Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz and a nVidia GTX 660M GPU. This is well beyond the system requirements.
I haven't executed special tweaks nor am I into overclocking. I have very little software installed: W7, Office Pro, VLC, Steam and some 30 games from Paradox, 2K and Stardock. I keep my computer well organized, maintain it often with stuff like CCleaner and protect it with MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

So, when I purchased W:MofA I expected it to work fine on this system and I believe that, as a paying customer, I have the right to expect this. Period.

Furthermore, I have no problems whatsoever with any of my other games. So it is clear that the problem lies with Warlock. I expect Ino-Co/Paradox to fix this (within a reasonable timeframe) or refund me for the game + DLC.

Additionally, in another thread here some forummembers have uploaded their (crashing) savegames and diag-files. Apparently, this has not made the developpers or publishers undertake action (or at least communicate about it). Besides, I do not think that all customers who experience these CTD's have to perform their own diagnostics to find the cause of these problems. We play games to relax and have fun after a hard day's work. I'm not going to 'work' with Ino-Co too ...

I was having crash issues. I turned my video settings all the way down and now it does not crash very much(once in a great while it will). The spell Restore ardania would crash the game almost every time I cast it before I turned my video settings down.
 
Your problem could be Steam related. I had the same problems as you describe after the latest patc, crashes almost every turn. You could try this:

Open Stem. Choose Warlock / Right click / Choose properties / Local Files / Verify integrity game cash.(or something like that, I don’t have the English version of Steam).

My game works like a charm after this.

Because we paid money for a product and expect techincal support when that product will not work. Most fourms I deal with have a moderator like you who is dismissive to the customers and expect us to help ourselves. The reality is most gamers are not programmers and have no idea where to begin even if they had the time to do so.

Stop trying to reverse this issue on the paying customer saying that we should help ourselves when clearly most people don't have the time to learn the needed skills sets to debug/ find the crashing error. Your additude on this issue is degrading and weither or not you actually work for the game developer you give them a bad image by acting this way.

Personally all I want is some kind of acknowledgement of the issue, (which we have got) and an update or general time table of when it will be fixed. (which we have not gotten) If its going to be two months then tell us that. Lack of information is an easy way to drive people crazy.

Now stop acting like this issue not being fixed is somehow our fault as the consumer.

I have done this several times. Each time the check is finished, Steam states I have 1 file missing which starts downloading immediately.
After the download is finished (only takes a couple of seconds) and I perform the integrity check again, I get the same message stating 1 file is missing.

Again, I feel like I have done everything that may be expected from me as a "regular" customer: I use a powerful and well maintained system, I tried reinstalling, updating, checking the Paradox and Steam fora for solutions, doing the Steam integrity check.

It is time for Ino-Co/Paradox to surface and to fix the issues or start refunding. At least, start to acknowledge the problem and communicate! Grrrr ...

I have the same problem. Every time i verify the cache it says 1 file is missing and then re-downloads InstallScript.vdf every time.

Similar experience here. After I switched all video settings to low, crashing reduced substantially. Next step was to switch from a Huge map to a Large one, and now the game almost doesn't crash anymore - at least up to turn 110. As many have pointed out here, a significant number of crashes appear to be caused by terraforming spells (placing buildings on forest tiles also crashes the game sometimes).

If you bothered to ready some of the posts in the Tech Area you would see that Ive tried to help as many people as possible.
That would hardly class me as dismissive. Why because Ive tried several times to repeat that the developer has asked for assistance in tracing the problem? Or that if you arent getting any response in the forums you can try an alternate action and contact the official support desk instead!

Sometimes the best help you can do, is to try to help yourselves.

When I have time, I will upload my save that always crashes, to the devs.

2Coats..Explain again how you couldnt contact Paradox like months ago to get us a quick confirmation its being worked on and what not..Cause the way I see it you are in part to blame for letting things ferment here.
