Victory in my first game back! A good omen :ja:

Also thank you to reis for hosting, and all the players for putting up a good fight.

Good Game and Thanks for GM'ing Reis.

My lite needs 1 more to hit 17 and goes live in an hour. :)

Why did I get hunted? Did the other pack assume I had an important role, or did you just not like me? Or a bit of both?

Also, I must confess there was one game changing mistake concerning the night before Walrus was turned, where I misread a scan order from Trespoe and which resulted in Trespoe's pack learning about the Cursed Doctor, when they should have received information on TNT, who did not have any trait. My apologies.

About the setup, I decided to not place any leader, but leave the X'th in command traits to create some paranoia.

The packs were both 3+1, because I think that packs of 3 are too hard to analyse. It resulted in a larger percentage of baddies than you normally see, but they did not have many traits available to them. Both packs received an X'th in command, which was useless, an Encryption Master trait, and the cultist trait-scan ability, which they began by using it to protect themselves for most of the game.

On the goodie side, we had Doctor and GA, but the cursed Doctor and the pack trait scan contributed to avoid an easy Ironman JL. On the other hand, they also had the Padre and the possibility to pose as Sorceror to get info on the packs. The goodies also had a brutal and a hunter trait available. The Seer and the Sorc were made Blessed to prevent an early death.

I wasn't sure I would be able to finish the game. The other night, when I missed Reis' post about a late update, my wife was being kept at the doctors office on a checkup because she started the labor process but they doctors weren't sure to keep her there or send her home. They sent her home at 22:00. But I had nothing to do except wait for SOMETHING. There was no update, the baby wasn't sure it wanted to come, and the doctors were dragging their feet on a decision. I was ready to pack the car and go to the hospital, but just needed someone to make a decision. And since I didn't see Reis' post, I couldn't understand what was happening (Is this a Twilight Zone?).

I am trying to figure out why the red pack blew up? Why did they allow Najs and Yakman to vote each other up that one day? Once we had Adamus, it was a matter of analysis after that. I scanned Najs as an encryption master, and TNT as traitless. Johho sent a scan list, and on the last two days we knew citizen was johho's apprentice, with Yakman, TNT, and Gigau left. Of those last three, one was a traitless wolf, one a cultist, and one (we thought) would be the first leader. Since TNT wasn't a cultist and had no traits, he was the wolf. We just didn't know which was which of Gigau/Yakman was the cultist.

Indeed hope that everything did/will go fine Trespoe.

There was a lot of speculation about which packs I was in contact with. The short answer is: None.

I got a PM from Najs 3 minutes before deadline and managed to get part of a scan list off to him before clock reached 0, but not the full one.

But it was fun following the discussion of all the various scenarios and all the Paranoia that you started whipping up!

I should have had you hunted days ago. But I didn't, because it I know you can be a strong analyser end game. As for Yakman... I thought he was done for. All the signs were there. I couldn't afford to not vote him, with my record and all. And then we had that unfortunate situation, with the score being 6-4 before deadline. I knew a snipe was coming. As Split pointed out post-death, I was prepared. Ideal scenario, I would have been able to snipe again to kill Yakman. But still, I don't think I would have made it very far. Once Adamus fell it was sort of over, really. At least I went all the way and it was too incriminating.

I will still be content that I (post death) nailed walrus and Cymsdale as waffles. I expected Citizen to be the cursed one.

And I take full responsibility for the failed hunt on johho. It was my call and I thought it would pay off. It didn't, but I still believe it was the best choice at the time.

Too bad. In retrospect the Adamus outing cost us the game as we panicked too much. A cultist knowing the entire pack and then outing a wolf on a day where the pack does not hunt does create a lot of paranoia though. I really think it was a honest mistake on Yakman's part though.

I wonder why JL thought that there were only 3 baddies per pack as it lead to them seriously underestimating the threat.

For the record, if I had survived, trespoe would have been the next to go.

I figured I would get hunted before SPLIT. At that time, I had done the best I could for the pack and was being prominent in the thread.

Also, when talking to Johho, I tried to "guess" that the packs were 2 wolves plus 1 cultist plus 1 sorc at large for a total of 7 baddies out of 22 players. Which isn't a bad ratio. I don't know if he was fishing or not, but he said he thought it was 1 wolf plus 1 cultist per pack. which would not explain the cursed hunt.

I had citizen thinking i was in the JL for day or so and he did save me from death on the last day before i died. God i love the smell of a ruse in the morning. Ultimately my down fall though as he called bs and posted my pms :p

Oh look. Day one I posted my suspects : Najs, Trespoe, Cymsdale. Oh look, I was right again.

Brannigan's law noob village, brannigan's law.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Bah, you were lucky. I did nothing out of the ordinary and the only packmate to even touch me was Adamus. The others did most of the job for me.

By the way, how long was Citizen priest's apprentice? I know that I saw packmate behaviour between him and johho, but before I could act on it Rendap was outed and then johho followed.

Well 2*(2+1)+1 was my original thought as well but when the reds kept hunting I ruled out 2*(3+1)+1=9 baddies out of 22 as too unbalanced so to make it fit I had to calculate based on 2*(3+0)+1.

The one time I had alarm bells going off was when you confessed to not being the doc since the only one that could find a doc was a cultist. But I just couldn't figure out why a baddie doc would want to save a priest so rationalized it - and it helped when I had convinced myself that there were no cultists. BTW why did walrus save me?
