Pirate hunting

A "Pirate hunting" fleet wanted to go from a sea zone in Carribean waters to a port on the central American Pacific coast. There were nearer (sea distance) ports (east Mexican coast and south US coast) that I controlled and owned.

Despite the new "send a new colonist" button, I still go checking the relevant province because I need to know its population in order to decide if I want to send a new colonist. Maybe you can put that information on that window ?

I have played 200 years as France in vanilla and I had only one CTD that didn't happen again after I reloaded from my earlier save.

Also, I had a iberian-cultured colony with 772 inhabitants that didn't become French-cutured when a colonist turned the colony into a city (there were natives).

Another CTD, this time with Ottoman Empire :

Colonies don't change culture if the last colonist is turning it into a colonial city.
:(

edit : another CTD with Ottoman Empire :

PS: is this the good thread for that?

Was it to Panama? Panama is adjacent to the Caribbean region but has a port on the other side; that should probably be taken into account.

Say, Michael, would it be possible to add the same "send again" option to the merchant windows as you added to the colony pop up? I'm mostly thinking about the popup that tells you that you've lost a merchant in a CoT, but I think it would be also handy on the success/failure pop ups.

I think the reason it wasn't done was that you might want to send more than one merchant and usually clicking on any button closes the window, so it would need not to simply be an usual button.

Added "where = continent/region/area" clause to restrict random province or country values to a specific continent, region, or area.
What's the proper syntax e.g. for a random revolt in North America? Neither command = { type = revolt which = -1 where = 16 } nor command = { type = revolt where = 16 } trigger because apparently the action is invalid.

It is designed to work with the name of the geographical region, not the ID. It is supposed to also accept the ID but there seems to be a bug.

With the tag then, so "North America"? I can't get that to work, either. Could you post an event that triggers for you? I noticed there aren't "where" parameters in 1.3 events.

Apparently not.

MichaelM, you may want to take a look at this savegame (requires Watkabaoi, see my sig) where the game crashes when the Chinese government falls. Initially I thought it had something to do with revolting countries, but it still happens with an empty revolt.txt. I can't imagine how this could possibly be a Watkabaoi bug, and I had some other occasional crashes on falling governments which didn't happen in 1.2, so this seems to be a new bug.

Also, for some reason the graphs in the savegame start at 1558 as opposed to the scenario start 1419. That didn't happen in 1.2, either.

I thought so too, even MichaelM says so in the first post. I had not realized Andrei Gijgorev had not registered his game so I misunderstood the meaning of your query.
It was a powerful query.

Charles V introduces monthly reelections to the realm:

I think it's because HAB is a vassal of SPA. According to the changelog "vassals can no longer be elected emperor" but apparently all that happens is that new elections are held.

No one should be voting for a vassal at all. I'd like a save for that too, please.
