“With short 15-year campaigns and target provinces determined by nation choices, there’s an urgency and focus that you don’t find in other Paradox fare. Friendship cultivation and province improvement is possible, but most of the time I’ve found I’m too busy recruiting and expanding to bother with such long-term projects. The pace and constant warmongering is well suited to multiplayer.“

Very good review and sums up the change in game focus from similar in appearance titles like EU and Crusader Kings - good games in their own right, but March of the Eagles is different and hopefully gets the attention it deserves. Good job.

This. I would also like to say that I've played/own every major paradox game from EU2/HOI2/Vicky onwards, and that I'm also a big fan of 4x strats and RTS games (and a huge fan of Napoleonic history ;) ) and MOTE rates highly on my list. I feel the score 80/100 is a fair one. I understand some people are disappointed with the SP, mainly due to the AI making for an uninteresting game imo, but the MP is an absolute blast. Also the dev team have said they will look to improve the AI to give a better SP experience. Tbh I haven't had this much fun MP on a paradox game before. Partly because, due to the relatively short time frame of the game, I find it *so* much easier to organize games. People are much more willing to play MOTE, when they know they can achieve and do a lot in a single session.

Yes, it is in multiplayer that MotE will shine.

Congratulations to Paradox for the well-deserved score!
