I still believe that sending votes by PM should be optional. Simply because of the hassle factor ;-)

Yes, I would normally prefer to not have to change the rules when we are already in progress, but that looks what might have to happen. The team was proposed almost 2 days ago and is still in the air.

So, we now switch to the policy of voting in the thread, while voting by PM is still an option by not necessary. If there is a discrepancy between the two, PM will still be the one that counts. In other words, you can use PM if you want to bluff the other players. We will still keep the policy permitting changes, but the voting is considered over when all votes are in.

I think everyone has at least has a vote in the thread.

Actually, I see little reason to not go ahead and proceed.

The team is REJECTED

Votes:

Approve: tamius23

Reject:everyone else

That's one rejected team out of a possible 5 this round.

Leader role passes to Cymsdale, who can propose a team when he is ready. It's still a 2 person team.

My gut reaction is strongly against this proposal as Cymsdale has not provided any reasoning whatsoever.
I don't like rejecting teams for no reason, but nor is it a good idea to seemingly pick random teams out of thin air. Sure, there's not much to go on, but at least a line or two of logic to say why, for instance, he didn't pick himself, should have been posted. This seems either Spy-ey, or more likely just plain lazy.

That said, I'm not going to reject it just yet. I want to hear what everyone else thinks, and if there are any good arguments for this team, I'll defer to my colleagues judgment.

Well seems to me that this team is as good as any. There's no point just rejecting teams out of hand as any spy that becomes leader knows that could be the case and will just create misleading teams. Its quite suspicious that Cymsdale isn't nominating himself - he could be a spy and wants the mission to fail without suspicion falling upon himself or he could really be testing me and citizen. I don't see how it would help him though. If the mission did fail he still wouldn't know which of us was a spy. Rejecting the mission won't help us to see which of these it is though and since I am not a spy, and there's a 50/50 chance that citizen is, we may as well go for it.

When you pick yourself, you always pick someone on the side that you want to win. Strangely, Cymsdale hasn't done that.

It's a 50/50 chance he's a resistance or a spy.

I Reject the team.

That stands as

APPROVE: citizen1oo1, jpr123, Cymsdale

REJECT: tamius23

I approve.

I don't think that the people I chose would be as openly eager to go if they were spies.

Slightly failed logic, I'd say. Any Spy should be happy to get sent on a mission by a Resistance leader. There's 3 Spies, even if they were revealed if they sabotage they still stand a really good chance of sabotaging 3 missions.

So REJECT

APPROVE: citizen1oo1, jpr123, Cymsdale, xarkan

REJECT: tamius23, falc

waiting only upon marty, though if no one changes, it's already determined.

In the mean time, if everyone else is content that they will not change their votes, I'll have not problem with considering the team as APPROVED.

At the risk of making a "controversial" decision, I will approve this team at 19:00 GMT today (about 1H 20 Minutes from the time of this post) if there are no vote changes between now and that time, whether marty99 votes or not, just so that the game moves forward since it looks like everyone else is satisfied with their own votes.

If that happens, mission phase will commence.

Ok, thats the vote

APPROVE: citizen1oo1, jpr123, Cymsdale, xarkan, marty99

REJECT: tamius23, falc

marty99 has voted through PM.

Mission phase starts now

citizen1oo1 and jpr123 are the team. They can send their SUPPORT or SABOTAGE orders whenever they are ready.
