The evil Rain king had made off with the peoples water supply and had to be stopped. The people of the land cried out for a hero to help them or a party of strong adventurers to rescue them, almost no one seemed to care at first. Many adventurers enjoyed the good weather every day until a wise old seer come out from his mountain cave to renew his supply of ale and brought news to the people, no more rain and no more crops to make alcohol out of. Oh sure many people began to experiment with deer beer or bear beer but they were mocked heavily. A party was swiftly assembled and set out to track this evil 'king' that had stolen the peoples rain.
The party left a small fishing port in the north where they had assembled and headed out for a forest to the east that seemed strangely green. Before exploring to figure if the rain king had fled to this forest the first night from town had brought with it a horrific murder of the mighty cockroach breeder Tamius. The party found his body completely dried out, clearly he had been assassinated by agents of the Rain King. A 2 front war had begun.

Clearly there are agents of the rain king hiding among us. I suspect Rendap, he complains about the rain too much. Perhaps in an attempt to deflect suspicion?
