TURN 12 UPDATE #1
GREAT KHANS
After so much effort, it seems that the Khans have finally found how to continue with the Mechanized units projects. By recycling some scrapped steel materials, the Khan scientists are able to build an armored carcass to their vehicles, and although the weight of such unit is greatly increased with this addition they will now focus on a new engine capable of moving the new armored cars without too much speed reduction
(1 order neeed).
World Smiter also tries to recruit more men and commissions a new Regular Division, but even though his officers travel through all the nearby wastelands in search for new recruits, most men are already fighting in the civil war and have to return to Red Rock Canyon empty handed.
Finally, and against all odds, Smiter gathers once again his followers and announces his intention of joining the Great Democratic Federation. Some of his men stare at him with disbelief, and some even show open hostility against such a decision, and everybody wonders how will this affect the morale and loyalty of the troops…
NEW EDEN (FORMER VAULT CITY)
The cooks that came from Arroyo to teach Vault dwellers about “savage delicatessens” start their lessons in New Eden, and their effort is greatly appreciated by the students. However, the Overseer offers them to enter New Eden as temporal employees, and even though it seemed as a nice proposal, the tribesmen perceive it as a threat to their freedom and traditional ways, and refuse to keep working as a protest
(2 orders still needed).
The Overseer, however, does not feel deceived by such news, and keeps with his plans to convert new Eden into a local power, thus starting a research project to create portable heavy weapons able to penetrate Power Armors or any powerful enemy. This time the Overseer decides to trust his scientists and engineers and the projects starts at great speed with the first pulse guns techs and the scavenging of the necessary materials
(3 orders needed).
The local defensive garrison, still active, is sent to the wasteland to be trained as a militia division, but without any kind of scouting tasks they get rapidly lost in the desert and no communications are received from them. After some weeks waiting for further news, all people in New Eden consider them as dead or disappeared.
Finally, the Overseer gathers everybody in the Great Hall and announces that New Eden is now in an state of war against Mr. House, Raiders, Caesar´s Legion and Texas State. However, and even though their military is sent to the front under the command of General Lee, the Oak Creek Accord has not been formally signed, so it is still to be seen how they will coordinate with the NCR army
(New Eden at war against the mentioned nations, needs to use 1 order to be formally allied with the NCR, defensive bonus lost).
SHI EMPIRE
In order to prevent the horrible consequences of any invasion that could occur to the city of San Francisco, the Shi have finally built a naval base in the Galapagos Islands, allowing them a retreat place in case such a tragedy happened. The hard work and technological expertise of the Chinese engineers have made of such a base an incredibly well furnished settlement, and it is said that all Shi population could easily live there
(Galapagos base finished; naval units range increased even more, impossible to annex the Shi).
However, the resources and materials used in such a project and have depleted the Shi stockpiles, and the idea of building and funding a new research center similar to that called “The Institute” is abandoned, not in time to prevent a small crisis in the supply chain
(-1 Food next turn).
At least the Shi investigator have finally managed to concluded the “Peace Ray” project, and although some witnesses speak of a gigantic cannon installed in San Francisco, the Shi have kept silence about it, and due to the close society of such faction it will probably remain as a secret
(project finished, private results).
HOUSE
Back in the Strip, House keeps investing in his research programmes, and even though the investigators start the first tests of an electronically powered axe to be used as hand to hand weapon by his “human” troops, it seems that they have dedicated too much time to it and the expansion of the underground factories is suspended under a proper time distribution and schedule is created
(2 orders still needed for both projects).
However, House manages to resume the Tesla mental manipulation project that ended with some tragic consequences, and even though some of his subordinates protest, it is relaunched with renewed efforts using some spare Lobotomites as test subjects.
Finally, some more of those semi-human slaves are raised, and House can once again count with a deployed Lobotomites division.
(+1 Lobotomites).
