And now feel free to update a bloodline you'd want into the game !
Remember three conditions :
- It must appear in LI's timeline ( cf the list above )
- You have to stick the closer to the timeline ( several bloodlines are different from the IRL characters so think to dissociate the two )
- And of course we need a character IG to have it ;)

IIRC, I missed some of jmberry's submissions (some get implemented, but I think I forgot to save others to my notepad file). Could anyone backtrack and take a look? I can't recall what they were :laugh:
(or @jmberry, could you repost them here? :D )

I think all the ones I wrote out have been implemented as of the most recent release, save giving the Divine Blood of Odin trait to the rulers of Rostov.

Also, on reflection, I don't think Alexandr Yulianovich deserves his own bloodline - he's simply too recent for the Yulianovichs to have done anything memorable (it's really a case where we absolutely need Shaytana's input as result). In that regard, Blood of Julian works well enough for them.

Yeah he is just a small duke in Pereyeslav, and we do not have many informations about him :/
He is the bastard of a Roman General who is a descendant of Julian and of Olga, descendant of Rurik. It looks strange to give him the same trait but well I think we could erase him from the list

Just updated the first post with a link to the file I made
Keep in mind that it's just a rough version ( I'm quite a noob in computers :D ) and I plan to change the "described" by the actual description

it's quite decent though :3
(though you might want to indeed update your description more, since the "list" just went awol :p )

Blood of Kotroman, the man who would spawn the dynasty which would produce the founder of the Kingdom of Bosnia, Tvrko I Kotromanic the Great!
Why not ? :p
But who, which kingdom, a description you need all that :D
You can't come with a character you like and just don't pay attention to the setting. I can't even remember who rules Bosnia in our dear Lux universe

They put in some generic last name like Vojislavici (never heard of that name in Bosnian history), but I usually fix it for my personal version of LI where Bošnjani (the proper term for Bosnians of that period) are either Ghazi Islamic, my own Slavic Islamic religion or Arian Christians. But usually they are Ghazi Islamic for the sole reason that Ghazi Islam followers always survive in one extent or another and with Slavic Islam being a religion in it's own group the chances for alliances are too slim for an NPC to survive for a generation or two.

Anyway here is a little glimpse in my personal version of LI and the Blood of Kotroman description (which also is a bit tied to my own custom religion). I know that the timeline is off for a century or so, but damn, this game has Zoroastrian Paramenions in Persia, Christian free Ireland/Scottland and non-Orthodox Kievan Russians and even Pagan Germans in 1066. So I think we can suffer a little time discrepancy and Luxification of history for sake of having a good time, but then again there are other dynasties which are shoehorned in few centuries ahead (Solomonids being the prime example) ;)

hist_kotroman; Blood of Kotroman.

hist_kotroman_desc; This character is a proud descendant of Kotroman the Goth or better known under his Slavic name of Stephen I Kotromanić. Kotroman was the descendent of Gothic lords which managed to establish himself as the sole sovereign of all Bosnia in a series of short civil wars, during which a new religion coming from the rich Andalusian West was promoted, albeit modified with Slavic elements trough passing of time, whims of the later rulers and general isolation of Bosnia from the larger Islamic influences of Cordoba and Baghdad. After situation in Bosnia stabilized while the rest of the region burned in midst of decades of skirmishes and religious wars, Kotroman expanded the boarders of his "Caliphate" onto the surrounding lands in Illyria and the Zetan coastline, only for his bickering grandsons to lose them mere decades after his demise. The heirs of Kotroman, now pushed back to their family stronghold of Bobovac in the fertile valleys of Vrhbosna and patrons of a school of Islam which has left them ostracized from their brothers in Faith and their brothers in blood in the far North, look for recognition of their place in this world, while aiming to reclaim the lands which were rightfully granted to them trough Kotroman by their Bog. Shall the peoples of Illyria once again tremble at the sight of Kotroman's lilly banner and the war cries of his heirs? Or will Kotromanići along with their faith be mere footnotes in history? Only time will tell...

I think my spin of Bosnia has more "what if" historic weight which fits in LI universe (while it mirrors the situation of modern Bosniaks which are mostly shunned by their Slavic cousins because of their religion) more than the generic Perunite Bosnia which is in vanilla.

But once again this is my private version of LI history and I don't expect it to be considered canon, it's just a little side project for me to flex my coding and creative muscles :)

@Atridij
I certainly don't mind coding in that trait in-game, even if it's not canon :laugh:
as for whether it'll be implemented (ie. as in tweaking the relevant realm as well), I'll need a majority vote in the council to do so, ie. 2 more weighing in favour of it

(though, could you re-link the stuff which had your earlier suggestions, so that I could re-look into it? I'm not too eager to dig it up ^_^ )

Here is the pasta mate :)

interesting observation. can I ask why you think so? I'm curious why making buildings more expensive makes the game faster? (all I know is that it makes the AI build less buildings since it likely allocates its funds towards mercenaries/buffers instead of spending them). any thoughts why it could make it go faster?

This, and because in the H version of the game I could play until 1450s before the Big Lag strikes. So I presume the current issue might be because literally EVERY SINGLE PROVINCE in game is building something in multiple holds!

Maybe if we cut on few unnecessary building tiers and increase the general cost the game speed should pick up. Maybe add a "Throne Region" province perk to the capital of a kingdom/empire which cuts the price and build time (to the current levels to represent the inflow of taxes and skilled people) so the "interesting" provinces ingame aren't left underdeveloped?

Two more things, could you add in the formable titular kingdom of Bosnia please and change the name of Usora to Vrhbosna, Rama to Soli, Zachlumia to Zahumlje in the game localization?

I've added my own requirements necessary for it's foundation in my personal version of the game.

k_bosnia = {
color={ 0 60 255 }
color2={ 255 255 255 }
culture = bosnian

capital = 463 # Usora
allow = {
culture = bosnian
has_landed_title = d_bosnia
has_landed_title = d_rashka
completely_controls = c_usora
completely_controls = c_ragusa
completely_controls = c_hum
completely_controls = c_split
completely_controls = c_zachlumia
}
}

Edit: We just need to change the flag of Usora to the flag allocated to province of Hum for some reason.

Also if you want I can upload my Bosnian titles localization folder (which I use for SWMH mod as well as for LI).

If people are interested in this work, here are some suggestions about bloodlines who are identified in the timeline and IG :
Syagrius, in Poitou
Antipater, in Tyrus
Attalus in Pergamon
Julianovich in Pereyeslav
Bjorn Ironside in the Balearics
Marc Anthony in Nobatia
Ptolemy Caesar in Nubia ( not sure for the kingdoms of these two )
Besilarius in Sardinia

Since this is the only thread I found about bloodlines... I propose to rewrite the Arminius bloodline is into the blood of Widukind, since it makes much more sense, in my opinion, here's my proposed description:

This Character is of the blood of Widukind. Little is known of who he was before rising to prominence, and even his true name is unknown, “Widukind” is merely a kenning which means “Child of the Woods”. He was the leader of the continental Saxons in 777 CE, when Charlemagne, King of the Franks invaded the lands of the Saxons with intention to incorporate them to his new Holy Roman Empire. Just before a great battle with Charlemagne’s forces, Widukind was invited by the priest-keepers of the Great Irminsul of Paderborn to “meet” it in order to receive blessings from Wotan himself; the only non-priest ever allowed to enter their sacred grove. Whatever transpired there, Widukind came out of the experience a changed man. On next day, the Saxons won in a crushing victory against the Frankish forces of Charlemagne. Widukind was reportedly seen fighting in the frontlines like if “possessed with the strength of an animal”. This defeat that made the Frankish King retreat completely from Saxon lands and convinced him not to try to invade their territory ever again during his reign. Widukind was last seen in 785 CE, entering yet again into the sacred grove of Paderborn, legends tell that he became one with the Great Irminsul that day. His descendants still rule the tribe of the Saxons, knowing that their leader of legend still watches over them… his eyes being all the trees in Germania. Will they finally be able to unite the bickering tribes of their homeland and carve out a great kingdom, the blood of their enemies offered to the Irminsuls? Only time will tell…

Also, once I'm done with my other work ( re-scaling of the map ) I might incorporate some new bloodlines; I'll probably start with Ashoka, Kanishka and Rollo.
