Here's to hoping the US doesn't send a massive doomstack to defend the Dutch East Indies. That would be, well, less than ideal.

I'm not focusing on those areas - I wasn't able to take Siam (I was worried it would bring the USA into the war, but they are already in and it's too late), making it hard to actually keep the territory - a naval invasion is risky because any British counter force could wipe my fleet (and they'd be able to bomb my fleet from land too), and I won't be able to keep territory that I take using Siam as an invasion point I think.
The Italians aren't doing badly enough in the middle-east to need my help (I might show that next update) either.
Actually I rather like that. If I can cut off their convoy chain, say goodbye to supplies. Say goodbye to fuel. Say goodbye to doomstack and the US navy.

And now we were at war with the Allies.
We just finished a rather terrifying battle with the British. They caught our transport fleet off guard, surprising us with a large CAG attack in the middle of the night. Luckily our own carrier air group held them off for long enough for our fleet to properly position and ward them off.
No ships were destroyed, but their carrier was not in good shape.
But then, another surprise! We'd begun to embark our marines when the fleet came back again, with very makeshift repairs. They were crushed.
A third surprise came - the British had brought a battleship along with them this time. We lost a destroyer flotilla, but my ship managed to destroy the battleship before it could do more damage to us.
I heard word from expeditionary that Japan was going to help us build more ships to replace the ones we would soon certainly be losing. I'm not sure if I should be happy they're helping us or worried that they think our navy is going to get hit hard.
And today, there was that Ark Royal carrier again! Oh, I know that it's going to become a big issue for my fleet, that carrier. It never seems to die, no matter how many direct hits we score.
Our fleets didn't fight for too long - both sides had unrepaired ships.
We finally got into a dock to repair properly, and we'd begun invading whatever the island was called.
HQ's just received word that the British are dropping paratroopers on our forces! They seem so desirous to stop us - they're sacrificing battleships and rare paratrooper divisions to halt our forces.
We flushed out the remaining British and Dutch troops in the island fairly quickly.
Of particular note to HQ, it seems, is the recent opening of the Mediterranean Sea to the Axis forces, allowing Italy to finally get rid of the threat to Ethiopia - the Ethiopian line has barely moved in one year. The Afrikakorps are doing very well, I believe.
I also know we are doing very badly in resources, still. We need energy, metal and rare materials. A plan has been created and we're about to invade a new island.

Batavia is on Java, so you invaded Java there.
The last screenshot looks like the large island south of Singapore and northwest of Java? That would be Sumatra.

I know it just because I used to play V2 a lot... the same goes for CKII and the old duchies of Europe, haha
