I know that with Shaytana missing it's practically impossible to advance Lux Invicta's timeline but at the same time I'm still curious as to how it might have developed if he was still around and did advance the timeline.

So as a purely theoretical question, how does everyone here think things might go in the Lux timeline if things advanced ? eg guess.

I'm making a fairly conservative guess that the Eastern Empire would eventually rebuild itself and the other powers fragmented by whatever crisis's late in the TL may do the same or moderately reform with former vassal kings and such making their own realms larger by crushing others. Beyond that I can't say since Lux is gets further and further away from our own history the longer it goes on.

Play the mod and make an AAR! ;)

Seriously, I've got no idea. LI is made to be balanced, therefore, aside from Saba getting huge, there's little I can predict. I could predict before that Dacia would grow and then implode, as it always did, but then Shaytana scaled back the power of Dacia.

back then, the strongest blob-candidates were Dacia (forming Pannonia IIRC) and Venetia (forming the SPQR.... or not), mostly because of the strength of their bonii. Blobs in other areas are more variable depending on happenstance (and whatever the state of CB/building/tech balance happened to favor at a time)

Is it normal for Sparta, Galatia or that other Eosophorist kingdom to ended up crushing most of their neibours and usurping Rhomaion ? I've seen that in three out of my last six games as various Nubian and Celtic characters.

the Imperium Rhomaion is one province, though it's quite a powerful province. if the AI happens to bide its time and attack at a good time, then the IR can potentially reconquer its territory (since it has access to the very cheap de jure CB's). but again, it's just one province, and it's certainly possible for it to disappear if it gets conquered.
the sad part is that we don't exactly have mechanics to let the victor-over-the-IR to "claim" the IR throne yet. It was one of the things I've always wanted to make (ie. "campaign" events for IR, Sassanids, and SPQR primarily) but never had time to do. It's still on my bucket list though, so perhaps eventually... when I graduate in roughly a few months? maybe once I pass my licensure exam in roughly a year? In any case, once I'm "free" enough, it's what I've always wanted to do, and I'll bloody make sure I get to it, eventually (TM)
of course, it'd be nice if someone does do it of course. but right now, fleshing out the core mechanics need more attention.

I've actually had one observer mod game where the Jews in Sinai managed to conquer Egypt completely and Israel/Palestine only to get one extremely bad possessed ruler and then two short lived heirs assassinated by other powers which caused a massive revolts once of which broke the kingdom after the third heir took the throne which then allowed a Platonic Islam Kyrene "Argead ruled of all things" to take over the area for a decade or two only to then be conquered by the Parmenion Ērānshahr"the killed off the Sassanids".

One heck of an off the rails game :XD:
