Oh, wow. Is that because of RAM requirements? I mean, I already have a 64-bit system but a lot of people do not. Hopefully you won't get too many 32-bit users trying to play it.

Nice finally to se a developer taking the bit step and stop limiting there games by also making them playable on 32 bit systems.
A move some people surely will flame you for but then again, why make a game available for systems, thats not good enough to run the game properly ?.
Running 32 bit the you have a very old system.

Mostly yes. It could potentially work on 32 bits but that would be incredibly pressing for RAM so we can not guarantee stability (basically any background process like a browser for example would kill it) nor would any mods work.

But not everyone wants to pay $100 to have 64bit OS if they already have 32bit Windows.
It's tough buying windows cause it's expensive. The good news is that if you have Windows 7 or 8 "32 bit" I think you will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for Free and you could install the 64 bit version at that time.
In general 64 bit is the way of the future and the game will be better off for it having this foundation.

Theres a win 8 32 bit version? Thats fails i bought my first 64 Bit Computer almost 12 years ago so its the same like someone have a too old processor or grapic card for the game. It took too long before 64 bit was standart same think with xp now this getting no more supportet finally.

Cant you simply install the 64bit version with your current license? I thought the only diference between licenses were like home, enterprise, deluxe, etc.
I have windows 8 and it comes with one license, but both 32 and 64 bit versions. And I pretty sure its the same for windows 7

Yeah, there is. Thanks to Windows Phones there is also a Windows 10 32bit, which is just.... Silly, really.

You are correct. Since Win7 a license is good for either the 32 or 64 bit version. You can download the appropriate version directly from the MS store after your key is verified (or buy a DVD for $10).

SO, we can assume the chances you are going to be locked out of playing the game because of 64bit requirement are almost zero.
Unless you have vista 32 (or older...) OR you have a more than a decade old PC

At most you are going to go throu the hassle of re installing the whole software suite of your machine which stinks.

I have been using a 64bit os since XP 64bit was released.

32bit OS is holding back progress and time to retire it.

Any OS from Vista onward can be upgraded using existing MS Key provided it is a retail licence, either download or get the disk and install using your key. You can always use another partition or another hard disk if you want to keep the 32bit install.
