It'd appear that according to Youtuber Arumba who attended PDXCON 2015, the embargo for Cities: Skylines will lift on February 17th. In other words, tomorrow!

Here is the video that shows his spreadsheet with dates at the 6:35 mark:

And a screencap of the point in question for those too lazy to watch :p

Looks like we've got reason to be excited for tomorrow! And let's not forget the modding dev diary this week! EDIT: Clarification from TotalyMoo; we'll get modding information, but it will not be a dev diary. Thanks TotalyMoo!

Yay!

EDIT: Looks like we've got confirmation of some early alpha gameplay footage coming tomorrow:

Clarification, there's no dev diary on modding this week but there will be information starting about it.

Then the following weeks we will have dev diary, deeper info about the tools etc.

Expect the MAIN info this week to be from previews that come from the PDXCON interviews etc.

Thanks for the head's up, but that's too bad.

It would be great to know the basics about building modeling, so players can have something to do in the mean time and create their own content Moo, to make this game potentially better right at launch, with a wider variety of buildings..

Couldn't a few more basic questions on modding be answered? We are 24 days away..

I'll see what I can do :)

Thanks Moo.. I know you're busy..

Meant to say modeling.. as in the size of the zones etc., how to save a 4x4 model, 3x4 model 1x3 model etc.. Ideal settings, which programs you would recommend I think you said Blender as a free option for editing and which types things were supported- Bump maps, transparency, the basics and how to make the building playable.

Maybe some of us members on this forum could start uploading our Cities Skylines Specific building models up, and getting excited about the potential modeling aspects of the game.. and more out of your hair ;) but more importantly, selling the potential for personal building mods. that is a big part of the appeal of a game such as this.

That would be great.
