Some of the best buildings added to SC4 were stadiums so I thought that would probably be the case here, so this is a general thread to talk about stadium modding.

Now we know the ploppable size limits it's easier to start planning. Some stadiums should be able to be fairly realistic in scale. On the other hand, I'm working on a cricket stadium, now that needs to fairly circular so I've used 13x12 as the basis of it. Unfortunately that means the scale is only 33% of the real size, but it still looks pretty good, still early days for it though.

Who else is planning to mod stadiums?

Well I think it do not will be a big trouble to convert stadium from Cities in Motion.

MCG? One issue is the scaling, a 1:1 model would be too big for ploppables.

This will be the new burswood stadium in Perth for AFL games and the like..

I was thinking about building modular stadiums to have a larger scale. You would build the pitch first (14x8 for example) then build each stand one by one for each side and corner, 9 parts for the whole stadium. The main problem I see is that the pitch wouldn't have any road connection.

I was thinking about it too. Here is (maybe) my solution http://xlnation.city/resources/the-chinese-national-stadium.683/ . I think, this is only one way to have a realistic scale.
