Lower than minimum, the game will probably run, but I don't think it will be playable.

Better than recommended

cpu better than recommended, gpu better than minimum. gpu good enough to run on 1080p? I don't know.

Welcome the forum.
Gpu dosen't suppport directX 11, so the game will not run.

Welcome to the forum
I can't find any information about amd k140. Can you please provide the laptop model?

Better than recommended

Cpu better than recommended, gpu around minimum.
CPU is AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics

CPU : [Quad Core] Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 ghz
RAM : 8.00 GB
SYSTEM : 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
GPU : Nvidia GT 620 1GB RAM

Im worried about the GPU but on games like tropico 5, simcity 5 etc I just turn off shadows which allows me to play at comfortable fps with ultra/high settings on those games. So if I turn off anti-aliasing , shadows , and the wierd hazy effect on buildings would I be able to run it with high texture settings etc?

Quick question. What is the difference between playing on 1600 x 900 resolution compared to my "recommended" resolution which is higher. Will it make the game easier to run?

The game will run a little better, but your lower resolution will mean all of the menus will be larger and may block you work. 1600 x 900 shouldn't be too bad if you have 1920 x 1080. it's only a little smaller.

Remember, city builders use mostly the CPU to run the game. so graphics won't have a huge affect on the game. Just better graphics quality.

GPU: GTX 970 (1920x1080)
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1055t (@2.8GHz)
RAM: 8GB Corsair
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium

Don't be tricked by my GPU. My processor has bottlenecked my system in many games, particularly games like Rome 2 and Arma 3. A lot of the larger battles were around 30fps in Rome, and I could barely scrape 25fps on the lowest settings in Arma 3.

I'm certain I'll at least be able to run Cities, but I want to know if it'll at least look decent.

One of the higlights of Direct X 11 is to enable a better use of multi-core. Generally rendering big battles and first person shooter games is much "harder" than cities because they are more predictable
It is all guesses with personal experience here... I think you will be COMPLETELY fine and well with nice graphics and big cities.

But our system is rather imbalanced indeed. Phenoms were great for their price, but the lack of multicore support from software really hurt them. And it is pretty old by now, specially compared to the GPU

Tha CPU is designed to consume as little power as possible, be as cheap as possible and so you can do simple web and office tasks. I would expect a very bad gaming experience with CSL

Laptop
CPU - intel I5-3230M @ 2.6 GHz
GPU - Nvidia Geforce GT 650M
RAM - 6GB

I have a feeling this won't be enough. Really hope that's not the case as this game looks awesome.
Thanks in advance.
I think you will be fine

Ouch. I think you mentioned 2 games intended with "future rigs/setups" in mind.
Specially Arma 3.

Have you tried overclocking that CPU? I'm not sure how well they handle OC, those 1055T's.
My 1090T does pretty well with just a multiplier change. (+0.4GHz to 3.6GHz) and a cheap Zalman cooler (air)

Thought the game required a CPU running at 3.0 GHz?
Software does not check for things like that prior to running. This value doesnt tell all that much about a CPU overall performance by the way.
There were 3.6GHz processor back in 2006 but they are destroyed by today 2.GHz processors (even comparing single core to single core)

Hello,

what about mine?

CPU: i5-2500k @Stock
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570 Phantom
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7 64bit

Welcome to the forum
cpu and gpu around recommended

I hope it runs on my laptop

CPU: i7-4800MQ @2.70Ghz
GPU: NVIDIA Corporation GK104GLM [Quadro K3100M]
RAM: 32 GB
OS: openSUSE 13.2 64bit / Windows 8.1 64bit

Should work, gpu better than minimum, but since it's not a gaming card I don't know how well it will perform. Cpu better than recommended.

I am bit scared of my gpu... cpu 3632 i7 64 bit 8core 2.2ghz, gpu geforce 740m, 8 ram. this pc also played simcity 5 no problem at all
Welcome to the forum, cpu better than recommended, gpu a bit lower than minimum. The game will run, but how well I don't know,
Just curious, anyone know if a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 can run this game, and if so, how well? Let's assume the SP3 i5 with the following:

CPU: 1.9GHz Intel Core i5-4300U (dual-core, 3MB cache, up to 2.9GHz with Turbo Boost)
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4400
RAM: 8GB LPDDR3
Screen: 12-inch, 2160 x 1440 multi-touch (ClearType, 3:2 aspect ratio)
Storage: 256GB SSD
Welcome to the forum
Intel graphic card is not supported.

Can I run the game?

CPU: Intel Core i3-3110M
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M
RAM: 6GB DDR3

Gpu is lower than minimum, cpu is between minimum and recommended. The game will run, but with how much lag, I don't know.

CPU: AMD FX 8350
GPU: EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Welcome to the forum
Much better than recommended

Specs for my laptop:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4702MQ 2,2GHz (but can be pushed to 3 GHz per core)
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7 Ulitmate 64Bit
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8750M

I want to play at 1600x900 resolution

Welcome to the forum
Gpu around minimum, so you should be able to play at 1600X900. Cpu is better than recommended

Windows 7 / 16 GB ram
Quad-Core Intel i5-3570 @ 3.40 ghz
EVGA GeForce GT 740, 4 GB DDR 3
Welcome to the forum
Cpu better than recommended, gpu better than minimum.

CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz x4
GPU (Video Card): GT230 1,6GB
RAM 8GB

Steam MINIMUM is wrong?:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space
Yes , steam is wrong. You need a directX 11 compatible gpu, and your card supports directX 10

Hey guys,

My specs are:

CPU: Intel i7 - 4700MQ @ 2.4gh (quad core)
RAM: 16-gig
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 770M with 3gb of GDDR5 memory

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

I don't know. You will be able to run the game, but your gpu is lower than minimum.

CPU: FX-6100
GPU: Radeon 6950
RAM: 16GB

Can't wait, release it this weekend! :)

Welcome to the forum
Your system is a bit lower than recommended, so you will be okay.

GPU: GTX 970 (1920x1080)

Your system will run this game just fine. A 970 should give you very high details at 1080p. probably full maxed out graphics.

This game is multi-threaded and your CPU should handle all cof the sims just just fine. It has 8-core support.

The reason your other games had such poor performance is they are single threaded. I even get limited on them on very large battles. Especially online when the internet WILL lag you as well.
