I am a longtime supporter, player and highly addicted to a number of Paradox Interactive games. The thing that I find disappointing more than anything is to see ton's of interesting DLC pack's for games like Victoria II, HOI3 & EU3 for example, and it never fails that Steam is a requirement. Some folks love Steam. Some folks don't. That's not intended as a point of debate.

I use digital download copies either bought from Amazon or physical copies bought at retailers. I don't use Steam at all.

When shopping at Amazon, Gamestop & Gamersgate, they have a plethora of DLC's for Steam copies but just a pittance for those who actually enjoy having physical copies or direct digital downloads.

It's frustrating beyond belief because I really want to make my gaming experience as expansive as possible for each one of my favorite games. I am a loyal fan and player. I can't find anything where Paradox Interactive offers them for sale directly and any Google search simply leads to unheard of outlets that seem semi reputable that again, surprise, sell Steam only copies.

Can someone, anyone please help me? Someone from Paradox Interactive? I have the money, I want to buy your products. Seriously. Right now if I could I would buy every single DLC I lack for every single Paradox Interactive game that I own. If I can't get help there, is there someone, who like me is a loyal fan that enjoys making the most out of their gaming experience? There has to be something. Tired of hitting brick wall after brick wall.

Tired of the frustration and the seeming non concern regarding DLC content for those who choose to not go through Steam for games. Someone, please help.

Only seems to be about PDS games, so moved.

AFAIK GamersGate sell non-Steam DLCs for all those old games. They will work with the Paradox boxed or GamersGate download versions of the base games. They will not work with Amazon downloads, only Amazon can supply those - and again I'm surprised they don't - are you sure? I've often seen both Steam and non-Steam copies of the same game on Amazon.

Amazon has about three items that are not Steam DLC. Frustrated, aggravated and it seems like trying to find stuff that goes with the standard game is like winning the lotto. But don't take my word for it, check it out. I've bought what could be bought. The majority are Steam only.

I've bought from both Amazon and Gamersgate for my Amazon downloaded copies of Victoria II & HOI3. That explains the issues for it (DLC) not working.

If there are issues with compatibility based on where a game is bought and downloaded from which are non-steam, they need to be noting it and Paradox needs to be making sure it's products are properly labeled with warnings. I think I can speak for most that wasting money is not something that everyone can afford to do. There need's to be some responsibility.

Paradox Interactive needs to address this ASAP, even for older games. It's letting retailers sell the items on their behalf for a profit. They get a cut. It smites of false advertisement when there are no warnings. Not trying to be a jerk or cause issues. It would be nice if the issues could be resolved and customers who did not get the warnings or know of the issues could have it made right.

Can you please list out some specific expansions or DLCs for those games that you cannot find non-Steam versions of?
