If disasters are a core feature for you, then yeah, don't buy the game at this point. I do hope CO seriously does an expansion built around disasters, that alone would sell tons of units of the game. As for modding, i don't see how it could be done. The game mechanics for it aren't there and you would need different building assets to show a post disaster effect.

It's important to me yes, Adds a more challenging aspect. And Thanks for the awesome reply.
 
I personnaly don't like disasters, I don't want to see what I built destroyed by some random event. For me a city builder is for building, not REbuilding.

But I understand some people can enjoy the challenging part of dealing with disasters.

Anyway I think not buying that game for that only reason is a bit extreme.

That said a financial disaster could be made at the moment, not what 95% of disaster lovers are looking for, just saying that's possible.
