First the Pacific, then the US :p

Now lets garrison the canal properly this time to stop that from happening again shall we. It would be annoying if the Americans do that again.
How is Japan doing, any chance of getting them to send reinforcements and mess more stuff up for the yanks?

Japan's just sitting there mindlessly really, I'll see if I can get them to send some reinforcements. Mind you, the US navy's going to have to go around south america so I think I'm safe for the moment navally.

iirc Japan claimed GB? Correct?

How did they get it when you were taking the island? And, what troops are defending the island since you left? Sorry if I've missed something obvious.

I'm sorry I didn't make it clear in my updates earlier. I took the land that I had taken over, i.e. most of the British mainland and some of their Pacific regions, Japan took everything else. I didn't really show that, and I probably should have - I may get a world map up for this update soon, that might be a good idea. I've left several infantry divisions on Britain. Not a huge amount as most of my army is needed in South America but around 4 divisions up there. Spain has several infantry divisions up there too. I don't see the AI US invading there anytime soon, I'm somewhat doubtful their ships would have the range to make it, and they are much more likely to want to retake Panama anyway. I will eventually garrison it with something better but at the moment I don't see it threatened.

About the US, you probably know best. But recently I did see the US do a "major landing" in a conquered GB. But since you have troops there, and others too, that should make a big difference. iirc the island was pretty much void of troops when the yanks invaded. <S>

Anyway, nuff of my babble...looking forward to the next update.

haha, thanks. Well I certainly don't know best about the US, but I'm attempting to use common sense, haha. We'll see what they do.

By 'do the Global', I don't entirely understand what you mean by that. I'm not really trying to take over the world, just as much as I can in the Pacific, if that's what you meant. Of course taking Britain defies that concept but they have a lot of Pacific holdings, it doesn't count :p
 
You've got yourself a nice fleet going the TDM, even sinking US capital ships! :D What does your navy roughly look like now?

The Australian Navy, as of the previous update, was as such:

The Main Battle Fleet, the fleet that would cut a path to the enemy shores, consisted of some battleships, light carriers and an assortment of smaller vessels.

It consisted of some of the finest ships available in the Australian Navy - unfortunately, most ships in the Australian navy were aging so this fleet would not much up to a powerful US carrier fleet. Nonetheless, it did its job against smaller fleets well.

The Reserve Fleet, also used as a transport protection fleet, consisted of a single battlecruiser and several lighter ships. These were too old to be of any use in the Main Battle Fleet and were not expected to be involved in any serious naval combat.

Australia also had a third fleet - the Defence Fleet; the most modern fleet. It was powerful, centred around the AS Captain Cook carrier. This fleet would be used for ASW and protecting the Empire, rather than being used in an offensive role.



The Pacific force had at this stage grown to over 100k soldiers:

The army at home also retained a significant presence.

This was almost entirely comprised of garrisons - unfit for the quick style of attack that the Australian army had conducted on many of its Pacific enemies. Garrisons were also unfit for the role of pacification, as rebels could easily out-maneouvre them. Whilst some of them may be shipped off to defend Panama in the coming months, for the moment they stood as the watchful defenders of the empire's homeland.

In all, the empire's numerical power was as follows:

Thats a beautiful fleet, and very large for what I thought Australia could muster, awesome!

seriosly you taken out britain are making problems in south america helped japan, taken south africa, i think that after south america you should help the italians mop up the british in africa, the africa corps could be useful on eastern front,

seriously i hope germany wont lose, on the other hand germany should be able to handle one front war Courtesy of AussieLion.Btw did Japan capture ireland too
With exception of northern ireland the rest of it should be independent should be piece of cake and perhaps provide you with some resources or manpower. or perhaps even leadership.

Anyway i think you would be terror of MP games wreaking havoc as australia

Well I'm not entirely sure I'll be continuing this AAR much past me taking the Pacific tbh :(; it was meant to be Pacific-focused, just with the occasional bit in Europe to keep things interesting
At the moment Ireland is neutral, nobody ever took it.

Definitely so, my fleet is quite powerful as it has proven itself.

I believe that's just a clever bit of Australian disinformation, like calling each other "Bruce" whenever the Allies are listening.
