Now that's... interesting.

I've seen the same thing a couple of times, when you plan to kill someone, plan goes through, then the same event fires for yourself, but nothing comes of it.

Does the Pope regularly call Crusades if he's unlanded? I remember this used to be an issue.

Unlanded popes can call crusades.

Wait, so did the AI ERE take back Rome? And how did Hungary convert to Nestorianism? And whats the Papacy doing based in Portugal? I have too many questions!

1. Yep, they did. All by themselves. True Romans indeed :D

2. That is partially my doing. I married a bunch of my family members into Hungarian royalty and I guess someone died because one of my Persian Emperor's sons inherited the place and then converted everything XP They ruled for a good couple hundred years before the Catholic Pomeranians invaded.

3. Cause they got kicked out of Rome by the Byzantines :p They got that land in a crusade I think.

It's a trap! The Teutons have sent ghosts to take over your counties. Don't do it!

In earlier screenshots here, I've shown that there is a Cumania/Castille link in this game. But this king (& his dynasty in particular)... Hilarious.

I thought you had a really fancy hat mod. That hat is -glorious-, oddly especially on a west European face. Khan Philippe, I thoroughly approve.

Hmm, a Cuman Catholic Capet... seems like an interesting time in the land of Iberia. Nice to see the Seljuks expanding so effectively.

The thing is... I wasn't having an intrigue when this fired.

These culturally different people are always hilarious. There was the other time when I saw a Finnish Karling as king of Aquitaine, or a Bedouin Makedon ruling a duchy in ERE, or that especially weird Tocharian duke in Bengal.

Speaking of cultural shenanigans...
"Wait, that's not the right Britain!"

In my current game most of Ireland is Cathar Saxon. They are under Walenti dynasty, who didn't start as either Irish or Saxon.

Occitan Buddhist state in Abyssinia here. I'll try to take a picture once I've figured out how to do so on a Macbook.
