How would werewolves work in space? No moon. How would vampires for that matter? Are they only sensitive to our sun? Or are they weak to a certain kind of radiation in general?
These are really good questions. I demand a Luc Besson-film on these subjects IMMEDIATELY.

Werewolves in space ? Easy it's only a matter of gravity !

moon_phases_diagram.jpg

So during a new moon, the moon is aligned with the sun. Thus the gravity force is in the same direction thus we can add them.
On the opposite, during full moon, the moon is on the other side, so the forces can be subtracted.

We also know that werewolves only appears at night thus, the Earth gravity is aligned with the sun one (same direction).
Thus someone transform into a werewolf if Sum Forces = Gravity Earth + Gravity Sun - Gravity Moon (we'll discard the floor reaction, but obviously it's here)
Now it's only a question of finding this value and you'll only have to have this same force apply to a body to trigger a werewolf in space !

But the phases of the moon don't have an effect gravity, no? By that reasoning, werewolves should transform every night when the moon is above them, regardless of phase. Not to mention that werewolves would be in a permanent bestial state while in deep space, dooming the crew or the werewolf.

Since we're talking White Wolf werewolves, phases of the moon only matter in determining the auspice of the werwolf (it's gifts), and the potential to be overtaken by Rage (full moon is very likely).

The more interesting question is how do you breed werewolves when you're light years away from Luna because I'm pretty sure nowhere in the World of Darkness does FTL travel in relation to the gods come up :p

Why only white wolwes ? you are pretty racist you know that ? :D

It's not gravity itself of course.
The moon apply a force on you, same goes for the sun. When the moon is new (black), the moon and the sun are aligned, their force add up.
When the moon is full, they are also aligned but earth is in the middle, thus the force from the sun and the one from the moon are in opposite direction. That's what really trigger the werewolves, isn't it ?

Clearly this is wrong. Werewolfes transform only on new moons. In full moon people would see. Why do you think there are no werewolf sightings, hmm? New moon.
Therefor more gravity == more wolf. at 2x gravity becomes regular wolf. At 4x become super wolf. at 10x everyone nearby is wolf, but also dead because 10 times gravity. :(

at 1000X Gravity become Reichtangle Wolf
