Stockholm Pact is the only one of those that might merit inclusion, and even that's a bit of a stretch.

Well, they sure are used more often than "flopers". Even "to do a strange" is not really used anymore. Let's not stick to phrases just because they've been there for a while, the game has evolved and new things have come up. We can leave the old (I'm not advocating removing it), but let's trim down on the nostalgia effect.

I think the important/frequent ones that are definately worth adding:

1) Stockholm pact - Unholy alliance when the baddies join together against the village in a big and it caused controversy. It happens and having a phrase for it might be useful.

2) PJL - Newbs often don't know and there is a difference between a normal JL and a PJL. It's a term used if there are no scanners involved and it's important that new players are able to distinguish between them during a game.

3) Comm Cody - Just because we use it often.

If Carthadeism is there as admitting you are a wolf and getting lynched, then Dadarianism is in a similar vein. Admitting you are a wolf at the slightest pressure. However I'm not too fussed about that one, but the 3 above I believe should be added.

This is a good point. I'll consider adding new terms or deleting ones that never really get used. Probably can't get around to it until this evening.

Agreed. if we're going to keep a list of terms, let's at least keep it relevant. I've heard the three you suggested far more than Ananas, flopers, and to do a strange.

well then you are lost

In the hope that "Comm Cody" will fade from the public mind.

How to Perform an Outing:

An outing is when one player public announces that another player is a baddie. This should not be done on whim since if the outed player is not a baddie the villager will waste a lynch and the outing player will likely be lynched for lying the next day. Instead an outing should only be done when there is positive scan on the baddie in question.

Now let’s take the simple case of a lite. You are the seer, you last scan came back as a wolf. If at least one scanned villager is still alive tell them to do the outing. If you have no scanned villagers at your disposal you have two options: Wait until after your next scan and hope it comes back with a villager who can do the outing the next day, or contact an unscanned player (never scan a player you have already told you are the seer, it is a waste) today to do the outing. Which option is better will depend on how many wolves and villagers are left and your own gut. In any case never perform the outing yourself!

You are now the villager the seer has entrusted to do the outing. How are you going to do this? The first rule is don’t do it too soon. At the very least everyone should have voted and they should be at most a matter of hours until deadline. Idealy, they should have already been number of votes switches give the village plenty of information from this day. But you don’t want to wait until the last minute either. Lynching the outed baddie may require nearly everyone to switch their votes which is hard to manage with just a few minutes to spare. Another thing to take into account is if the deadline falls at a time when many people will not be online, such as the early morning in their time zone. So the general rule is to do the outing at the last time it can reasonably be expected that enough players will switch in order to the lynch the outed player.

The outing post itself should look something like this. It needs to be big and red is traditional.

JL ANNOUCMENT

PLAYER X IS A WOLF

In Bigs most of the above is still true. However suppose you are a villager with a single one use power (Witness or Seerish power, etc) and you use your ability successfully. In that case you may do the outing yourself because you have no further power to use if you stay alive. Also if there is an established JL you always want to contact them instead of doing it yourself since they may be planning to out someone else and two outed baddies just makes a logjam for a the village. To clear such logjams or in other cases the JL may publically call for a play to be shot by an assassin. If you are an assassin, do not say so in the thread! This will allow distillers to prevent you from taking your shot.

There should be another post detailing how to perform an outing as a baddie.

DBW and aedan might also consider contributing posts on how to react to (and even subvert) an outing as a baddie.

Problem is that trying to subvert an outing is a very situational play that simply can't work most of the time. If I ever write an advanced tactics guide, that's going in there, though.

Do I understand LSST correctly? On the first day, as a rule of thumb and since there is so little information, one should just vote for the person which is one place above oneself in the playerlist?

No. That's how LatinKaiser does it. The LSST advocated that you vote for whoever posted right before you.

It's not a particularly good system. I recommend against it.

Perhaps some context should be added so new players don't get the wrong idea. Throwing it on the list of important terms could give the idea that it's commonly used. Just add something to make it a tad clearer that it's more of a lore term than anything and perhaps that it represents a general trend for some players to adopt random voting methods on day 1.

Nah, let people find the wisdom of the LKST on their own. :p

If you use LSST, I will personally murder you on the spot.
