Seers only scan for werewolves/villager. It doesn't really matter as I don't see there being a sane scenario where a scanned and contacted villager would in PM claim to be seer when he isnt.
But this opens up the fantastic possibility of a werewolf pretending to be seer, which, by the way, is an exciting challenge to the Justice League as it currently exists in the game.

Well a wolf impersonating a seer is always possible in a Lite.

Before there was always the possibility of hitting the seer, who would immediately know you were lying. Not so with this setup.

IN AS THE SCREAMING SUN

OTOH, the second contacted seer would know the nights when the seer had successful scans.
Sure, there should be some risk in posing as the seer, but this setup diminishes the risk. I'm all for weakening the JL like this.

Blast from the past!

How are you, mate?

All fine, can't complain. Still lurking around the OT Forum. I had been considering dropping by since the message you and marty sent last month, but I have never been the biggest fan of the big game, so I was waiting for a new Lite. And here I am now.

Oh neat, a wild Capibara appears.

Oh man a 2 seer lite game?

Sub, will only join if needed more players.

What result would be returned when a seer scans another seer? No result?

In.

There's already that possibility. The fake Seer plot has been tried in the past year on two multiple occasions to my knowledge.

Poor Jerman, getting Wagonlitzed twice.

Sub, wil join if needed.

I can think of four times the fake seer gambit has been pulled.

Oldest I can remember was over a year ago I believe. SPLIT was a wolf who contacted Nautilu to out GUG, who was the seer (or perhaps it was Dutchguy he was supposed to out, and he contacted GUG to out for him). GUG had scanned two wolves, but rather than out either of them, instead "outed" Nautilu as a wolf. Village lynched Nautilu, saw he was a villager, and then lynched GUG. Wolf parity. A rare instance where the village should have lynched the seer, as I suggested at the time before being hunted.

Second was Wagonlitz's famous double seer with 50% gambit. Which predictably blew up in his face.

Third was my effort to contact Rovsea and get him to out a "wolf". Unfortunately the actual seer got lynched, revealing myself as a liar. I somehow convinced Rovsea I was a villager pulling a stunt to avoid being hunted, and we ate him that night.

Fourth was rather recently when Marty contacted Spokcyt, the seer, for contact. Which obviously ended poorly for both involved.

So overall not a very successful record. The only two times it didn't blow up in the face of the wolf who tried it was due to the village, or villager as the case may be, being tricked far easier than they should've been.

To be fair marty simply unluckily contacted the seer. That was outside of his control, and the gambit actually makes sense in his case (marty = early scan).

He did. It still failed because of that. Under this set-up contacting the seer claiming to be seer isn't instant assurance of death though, unlike usual.
