Rome 2. Make it so it extends from 200 AVC to 754 AVC. And maybe future updates or another game will bridge the gap between CK2 and Rome 2.

From my understanding, it didn't have one and was only them releasing the tool they already used internally.Does anyone know what the code name for the Clausewitz Maya exporter was, if it even had one?
Crusader Kings I was not either the most popular game. It was the sequel that became popular. I do however disagree with you, I don't really know what you referred to as "IPO", but they already have Tiberius and Titus in development, and I don't think those are mobile games. They also have themselves declared they want to develop and produce Victoria IIIVictoria 3 ? I'd like that but its not their most popular game and not profitable enough . They are aiming to mainstream crowd now. Next projects after the IPO will be phone and mobile spin off of crusader kings , EU4 or stellaris.

IPO = 15% of existing shares are going to be sold to the public on 31 May, 2016. Some people actually think there's a conventional wisdom that says once you go public, a phone app game is not far behind (think Civ Rev).I don't really know what you referred to as "IPO"
Thank you for the explanation, because I couldn't see the context. However in that case I disagree and think it is posted in the wrong place. The IPO is a project of PI as a company, not PDS as a development studio. As a company PI might want to finance mobile projects in order to publish them, and the IPO is a project for them. But PDS don't really participate in the IPO as a project for them as far as I understand, given that they only work with development of computer games. And given that the studio already has started two projects and worked on them, for a while as well as sought financial aid from the E.U, I have a hard time believing that they would drop them after a project that only indirectly concerns them.IPO = 15% of existing shares are going to be sold to the public on 31 May, 2016. I have heard it before but I'm not convinced it's real conventional wisdom, there are too many other good ways to make money. Add to that, these deeper and larger games require far more processing power than a phone game, Pdox game might not translate until phones get even more powerful.
You are welcome. I see you have my original post in quotes. After thinking about it, I don't believe the need for short term profit is necessarily a consequence of a company's legal fiduciary duty. There are plenty of public companies angling for the long term profit. I think the drive for short term income is actually more a reflection on other factors, like the type of investors putting money into public companies, who the board directors are, what their goals are, and who the board directors hire to run a company. I rewrote the post so I'm not blaming the law or painting all corporations with one brush.Thank you for the explanation, because I couldn't see the context. Who said i was bashing , i am just stating facts they will have to show excellent profits, good isnt enough anymore after an IPO.They already officialy said they wanted to develop phones games , while i never read any dev diary or comment about victoria 3 ,or going less mainstream. You couldnt be more wrong. and pls stop the random IPO bashing. VicII was quite profitable and Wester even loses his hair because Vic performed so well. Look here.
Back when Vic2 was being developed, one of our veteran forum users joked that in order to maximise sales they should name the game Victoria's Secret 2: An Empire Under the Sun, or something like that. IIRC, it became a bit of a legendary joke and the devs probably remember it. So I would not be surprised if you're right.Wiz keeps tweeting about "Victoria's Secret". I think that is a not so subtle hint.
Play Vic2! I started playing it again a few months ago and it's still good. There are a few things, both game mechanics wise and QoL UI that feels weird if you're used to playing CK2 and EUIV, like a reintroduction to infamy and unilateral relations, but it's still a very solid game. It has by far the best peacetime mechanics of any PDX game. You can go an entire game without conquest and it still feels like fun.I would like to see a VIC3 made as i have watched playthroughs of VIC2 but have decided to wait for the 3rd one to play it. Also would not mind CK3 but i am not sure what could be different than ck2.
I wonder what modern/near future game would be like. There are no serious wars right now (except few wildlings around the world) and nothing indicates it would change. So throw military aspect out or make alternative dystopian setting? However, I have hope for a modern/recent history/near future game at some point, too. It's a long shot, but my dream of a Paradox Development Studio space grand strategy game was an extreme longshot a few years ago, so I'm no longer counting it out.I don't think it'll be anytime soon, however.

Playing countries would be kinda boring too, because there is no expansion anymore. So what's left? Corporations? Mafia? Illuminati? Reptilian infiltrators?
