Hey, I kinda got paranoid about Wagonlitz due to past events (You know where I got the term "Wagonlitzing" from right...)

I admit, I shouldn't of ordered Torn to defend Euroo.... but I had no way of knowing if the outing was real or not. I knew Euroo was a cultist afterwords simply due to the fact Euroo couldn't be Wagon's rival as Steed claimed that role...

(I also scanned Euroo and he turned up Villager)

Well'a, ciao! Welcome'a to my'a game'a of'a werewolf! You'a are'a in'a little'a village in'a Southern'a Bell-a Itali-a! Your job'a is make'a good pizza, your'a hobby is'a to make'a good pizza, and'a at night'a, you dream'a of making'a good pizza! But'a, what's this'a? Pizza Hut? Dominoes Pizza? What is'a this'a thick cake that'a pretends'a to be pizza!? Are'a some Americanos tryin'a to infiltrate us'a?!

I feel like I should mention that only a series of unexpected events kept me from sniping the day I was lynched. Given the activity up to that point, I might have gotten away with it too.

Well I wasn't incompetent. I'd had a long day at work and couldn't believe what I saw when got online that Wagonlitz was run up for lynching and even worse the next day when Euro got out of the lynch...
I can't be the only one that knows Euro is manipulative and was lying through his teeth.
Even if I wasn't JL I'd still string him up..

GM AAR. Part 4: A Play in Three Acts

Day 8

Early outing = boring day. After today, the Yellow pack, which was four people strong just yesterday, was no more. Cliges took Nautilu with him (why not Yakman?), who, by the way, had his medic set on Yakman. Aziz became an unattached Cultist and the reds were not faring too well, either. It really looked grim for the baddies and I thought for sure the only way for them to win would be to turn jeray, who after Wagon's death became the errand boy of the JL.

Seer: Yakman (Villager)
Priest: Hax (Villager)
Sorc: WHYYYYY?
Red pack: Hax (blessed hit)

Day 9

There's not much I can say about the lynching of DoA that I have not said before. MVP play by Hax to exploit a noob like that, he was really active behind the scenes, holding conversations with a number of people. Anyway, Hax gave DoA's name to the JL, JL did the ol' steer the lynch towards the baddie (they were quite obvious by now, how did no baddies notice) and Kaisersohaib became the last surviving red, with only a Sorc and an unattached Cultist remaining for support. At least the Sorc managed to hit the Cultist. In fact, both of Spocky's scans as Sorc hit non-Villagers (Cultist and then Seer). So Jerman, the Sorc knew your identity. He just couldn't do anything with it.

Seer: Aziz (Villager)
Priest: Capibara/Sander (Villager)
Sorc: Aziz (Cultist)
Red pack: Jacksonian (lay off the guy :p)

Day 10

The close voting this day can tell you a lot of what would have happened if not for the cursed hits - the JL just poking random people in the hopes of finding wolves. What they did not know was that there was just a lone wolf left. And he got lucky. Oh and ramius was autolynched because I missed Kaiser's order on enkhuush and killed ramius, who was on the top of the standing list. Since he had missed three votes anyway, I figured it would be more fair to just autolynch ramius, because at this point fucking over the wolves like that was just cruel. So, the night when Jerman scanned Kaisersohaib the last red wolf, he made a hero move and turned enkhuush. @Kaisersohaib any comments on the choice for this hunt?

Seer: Kaisersohaib (Wolf)
Priest: Yakman (Villager)
Sorc: Jerman (Seer)
Red pack: enkhuush - turned

Day 11

So just as the situation was starting to look up for the baddies, both Spockyt and Kaisersohaib got lynched. You know, it might have been worth the risk for Spocky to announce the Seer publicly, although given that he was OEO, the game might have ended that night. Luckily, the reds managed to hit a second cursed in a row. The game was still on.

Seer: johho (Villager)
Priest: johho (Villager)
Red pack: DutchGuy - turned
johho's SA gave him no names either, just that he was scanned twice, one of these being the Seer

Day 12

BLOODY NORA!
A NIGHT 12 scan on me by Steed as a villager!
:D

This was the day where I started to believe the baddies can still win. Sure, DG got killed, but they had a window now. JCan was turned right after he got scanned by the Seer, making him a very unlikely rescan. But the window was closing - the Seer and Priest were quite efficient in the clearing of players and removal of the unscanned ones. After tonight though, talk of a cursed JL hit started surfacing.

Seer: JCan (Villager)
Priest: De Chatillon (Villager)
Red pack: JCan - turned

Day 13

The JL was still in the dark and now there were two wolves running around. A turn of jeray would have likely sealed the deal, or at least tipped the scales in the baddies favor. Unluckily, jeray was somewhere in the lower half of the hunt list the reds used for the latter part of the game. One thing that definitely helped them was Yakman's decision and johho's paranoia. As he got votes, johho became very paranoid about being lynched, especially since he thought a baddie was leader, setting and resetting his brutal several times. He actually set up a brutal on enkhuush, before overriding it to say brutalize the leader if he gets leaderlynched. This ofcourse ended in two goodie death that day instead of one and a possible wolf if johho had just been lynched outright. So we were down to 8 players - 2 wolves and a JL that still had unscanned goodies. And lucky for the wolves, Jerman wasted his scan on j-L, who got hunted that night. Oh and Steed scanned the last person he could without having to rescan.

Seer: jacob-Lundgren (Villager)
Priest: enkhuush (Villager)
Red pack: jacob-Lundgren

Day 14

After scanning enkhuush Steed had no more people to scan. This came in really handy today, when he came out as Seer, a claim that was false, but it helped steer the lynch onto enkhuush without too much trouble. Unfortunately, this also presented the wolves with a very comfortable red herring - De Chatillon the other unscanned person. Jerman, for some reason, decided to start re-scanning people for a cursed hit, despite De Chat being scanned only by a seerish powered scan from a Werewolf and not by the Seer himself. Had he scanned De Chat it would have maybe helped lynch JCan on the last day, although my guess would be that had De Chat been scanned, Sander would have been lynched on the last day. Anyway...

Seer: Hax (Villager, rescan)
Red pack: Steed (Priest)

Day 15 and ending

So De Chatillon was the perfect red herring and it all came down to two factors - the brutal and the hunt. Hax and De Chat had been PMing since the early days and De Chat was going to brutalize Hax, despite the latter's pleading not to. In the end, he switched to Sander. A dramatization of this event can be seen in the final update :p So before the hunt, there were four people left - Hax the Villager, jeray the Cursed Villager, Jerman the OEO Seer and JCan the Wolf. So JCan's options were an instant win (jeray), an instant loss (Jerman) or a slim chance at the win (Hax, I think Jerman would have trusted jeray over JCan, but who knows?). And well, you know what he chose...

Thank you for playing everyone, this was stressful yet enjoyable. Really glad that this game made it to Top 3 of all time, couldn't have been done without the massive amounts of activity you guys brought. See you next game!

It was a very fun game, I'm also glad I managed to hit 2 cursed villagers one after the other; I guess I'll start following my gut more.

I still claim my brief late game center of attention was clearly the biggest key and sole reason the goodies won.:mad:

Now onto my favorite part: rivals. Now, I don't agree with some people about the purpose of rivals. In my opinion, the rival role is not about conflict, it is about self-sacrifice. You must work towards a common victory, but one of you must sacrifice so that the other may win. Also, I really should make a baddie rival pair so that people stop assuming too much. Ahem, so, rivals were Villager-Priest, Villager-Sorcerer and Brutal-Lover (because Love Hurts). Wagonlitz and Steed, I think, played their rivalry very well, although maybe I put Steed in a position of too much power since Wagon's choices were sacrifice himself or jeopardize the village to win.

So that's the setup. It was my first time balancing a game so big, so yeah it was a little bit unbalanced. What do you guys think?

As long as winners are still determined by who survives and who doesn't, rivals are an incredibly stupid role to include in any game. Rivals force goodies into suboptimal play patterns for their own side - players seek to kill off goodies early rather than work with them for the good of the village (De Chat and k-59). Even if the role is about sacrifice and players understand that, which player chooses who sacrifices their life for the good of the village, and when? (Especially if the rivals don't like each other, and we have enough bad blood already.)

Not least of which for the reasons that it gives players like EURO opportunity to pull stunts like outing the JL spokesman without getting immediately flayed alive. That play instantly because DOA if there are no rivals in the game.

I have to say: I made nothing for the lynchment of K-59. It's true that I voted him when he was in the lead already, but I didn't make a case and I wasn't the first who was voting him at all. For some reason people began to vote him and, obviously, I didn't see anything bad about that.

Plot Twist, Npstr is actually the seer using this a deflection tactic to make the wolves think he isn't the seer.

I kept spacing that I needed to quote this...

Of course, we all know what the actual twist is :D

Why on Earth is @Tornadoli's big locked?
Would have posted this in that, but this is the second best then.

AOK just discovered that despite he appeared merged he couldn't see his profile and it has some message asking him to create an account. That sounds suspiciously much as him not being merged (and hence in danger of his name getting cleared next Monday). Working on trying to figure out how to proceed. It would be wise if you checked whether you can see your profile, which can be done by following the below link.

Huh, that's strange. Do you mind finding out why?
Only you can inquire about that, since only mods can lock threads and hence it's a mod action. As the thread owner you can inquire though.
I can't view your account either, it brings up an error page. And I'm pretty sure you haven't been permabanned.
That's some kind of setting you can set. I have never seen the idea in doing so though, since it doesn't hide any info. It just makes it more cumbersome to find specific posts from that poster.
