I am surprised that paradox haven't gone in that direction. Is there anyone else that wants to see such a game?
I know about the mods,i have played them a lot but they are not a real original fantasy world. They are mostly about game of thrones or warhammer(CK2 mod is amazing).I am talking about a game with well made fantasy history that lets you rollplay. For the business sim Colossal Order (Cities Scylines )will be better suited.I'm sure there are mods for EU4/CK2 etc. that do just that.
I'd rather Paradox make a business sim, like Capitalism Plus. I think they'd be good at that sort of thing.
I think this belongs in the general Paradox Forums. @Had a dad?
not really. it is about paradox development. just look at other topics on the PDS forum
It's in the proper forums now, yes - it was originally in the EU4 forums.

Well every fantasy game needs a bunch of orks to slaughter. But that doesn't mean that there can't be originality in such a game. With grand strategy games you could make a ton of different countries and their history and lore.If you have a good writer with a lot of imagination there could be a fascinating spins on the cliche races.Would support that. But it would need to be easy to Role Play in. I mean if you're going to have a fantasy universe you gotta be able to role play with the lore and such. And it would need to be... different? As in not the "Orcs are at the gates!" that has been mass produced since Tolkien. Like you said, wholly original fantasy that can really grab you in. All the rest, the 4X strategy stuff they could do just fine, they're paradox.
A whole new game will be the best option,as long as it is not as bland as Stellaris. In fantasy world you could make a lot of good DLCs.You could add new continents, interdimensional invaders, aliens, haven and hell, gods and et cetera.i'd love to see that. PDS did try to expand into the fantasy/viking appreciation genres with runemaster. but that got cancelled.
hell all they need to do is make a fantasy scenario out of any of their prior games. release it as either a standalone or a big ass DLC.
Science Fiction Grand Strategy and now a Fantasy Grand Strategy? I'm in!
Well the events killed CK2 for me,it is really annoying when you try to conquer some place and there is constant spam of pointless events.Having a lot of decisions and triggers will be better. It will be interesting to have quests in a event-story type.Heck I'd be totally down for this. I'd see working kinda like ck2 except with a ton more events. It'd be cool if you disn't have to play as a ruler but as a courtier too so you could be like a solder or a mage. I don't know I'm bad with plans but I could see it working.
