Also, side note, was my GMing okay? I know I didn't do as much with the theme as I should have. Too many votecounts? Too few? I'm curious.
It was quite good. Especially for a new GM. One thing you should go over another time is to comb the rules. Your voting rules weren't what you actually practiced given that they didn't state that an improper/missing unvote meant the original vote stood. That could have influenced the game, though in the end it didn't---or actually it might. Wolves was the reason you voted Rovs so close to deadline and didn't snipe that I'd raised doubt as to whether Otto's vote counted?

To be honest had I been online and paying attention we might have killed otto and won.

Superb GMing Canadian, frequent vote counts and updates were on point.

The really unnecessary vote counts

I'd say the only one that bothered me at all was the one where Wagon asked for a votecount two votes after the last one, with 3 hours to go and 11 players alive. Seemed fairly meaningless, but what do I know.

Also, is it bad that I already have theme ideas for 3 or 4 other games?

Votecounts are the best part of GMing! Votecount every vote!

But no, you did quite well.

Here are my lightly edited and noobish attempts to game out who might've been seer from the night we hunted Capibara (sounds like I was wandering around in the Amazon)

So who's the seer? Candidates
  1. Audren / Claude: Audren got subbed. If he forgot to vote, did he really remember to scan? Possible, but not where I'd put my money.
  2. DeChat: Was very quick to follow JCan's outing. Not all that surprising really, but possible he knew Wagon was right 'cuz he was the source of the info.
  3. Wagon: Faced with lynching, he outed Jcan. why take the risk of going rambo? Perhaps J-leaguer was unable to do the outing, and he figured we'd assume he wouldn't be silly enough to go rambo?
  4. Otto: Not really doing much but randomly accusing Jeray w/o much justification. Could be impressive misdirection. He's been called out for his poorly explained votes, but never put under pressure.
  5. Dragon / Aedan: See Audren / Claude
  6. Capibara: Capi got some votes yesterday, but when presented with Jeray as an alternative, goodies, including Wagon, turned on him en mass. A JL rallying to save their seer? Jeray was also the sketchier-acting of the 2 in my own humble opinion, so maybe not.

@Wagon, Rovs actually tried to switch our hunt to you that day, but missed the deadline narrowly. I was all for hunting you the next day, but Rovs thought it unlikely that you were going Rambo and that we would be better served looking for the real seer.

@Canadian Thanks for hosting!

Wait... I was a wolf? So that's what all those PMs about hunting people were about!

What a twist!

Oh, and my scrabble score was 445.
Especially since you sent most of them :D

I used a standing scan order like any decent seer. Sucks that I forgot to vote, but at least my sub didn't get screwed over a scan.

Subbing in as the newest seer scan and having the seer subbed out gave the JL a pretty decent advantage. Neither of us were great hunts, since it is usually assumed the seer would be interested enough in the game to avoid missing a vote. Wagon also became a bit of a poor hunt, since he was exceedingly unlikely to act as JL spokesman if he was the seer himself. So all three members of the JL were unlikely hunts, giving us a useful base from which to narrow down candidates and direct scans, while also having a fairly powerful voting bloc if we needed to act without outings.

Though I was pretty off with my reads for much of the game. I saw alynkio as a likely goodie, a new player making a bunch of odd and poorly thought out moves, not a wolf. I was also convicned for the longest time that Ottovinski was an obvious wolf. Only changed those views after Alynkio was scanned and he voted Otto with the first vote of the day.

I was also expecting to get hunted after Wagon outed Rovsea shortly after I made a case on him and wasn't getting followers. I thought Wagon's outing made it obvious I was in the loop about Rovsea being scanned, and had tried, unsuccessfully, to get players to lynch Rovsea without an outing. Was very surprised when Wagon got hunted instead, since he was obviously not the seer, and it was too far in the game for the wolves to not be going after the seer. Too high a chance a wolf will be scanned, and not enough wolves left to easily take a loss.

And because we're not enough of jerks to hunt you guys again right away, that's another reason that subbing in as the JL is an advantage, people are less likely to kill you until the end game, usually.

Well Rovs's right. I never have and never go rambo, so if I do an outing there's 99.999% chance of me not being the seer/priest. And I don't see any reason to start doing it in the future.

Which also still leaves the question about why I was hunted when I was, since it should be pretty obvious I wasn't the seer and hence hunting me meant that either another wolf got scanned or the JL grew---with it being in danger of possibly including all villagers (which it in fact would have had Claude scanned Otto instead of you).

Also Cap was only scanned the night Jeray hung---hence the surge to jeray over cap was pure TIE prevention.
