What LOL ? nothing ridiculous, there are ships in the wargame

The devs have stated that this game is about the land combat after the landings. Besides which, as far as I'm aware there was very little symmetrical naval combat during the Normandy campaign. A few U-boat attacks and maybe the odd E-boat raid on Allied shipping? Unless you want to go down the fantasy route of the Tirpitz somehow leaving the Norwegian fjords and threatening the Channel, the devs would have to invent a surface Kriegsmarine fleet to make it broadly balanced.

Off-map naval arty is good enough. Ships could have their own game, pacific would be ideal. But Wargame shows that on this level they are better kept outside the visible battlefield.

How rude.
  1. It has been said many times no on ships...
  2. If you check the livestream you can see the modeled level of units even below the WG level. You are on about company level, single tanks and some inf. sq.. Asking a battleship - as one sides air is problematic because of gamebalance - with had 2000 crew is simply funny.
Should I countine or are these enough resons to call the request idiotic?

To disagree is fine, tearing the OP a new one is not. As molnibalage provided a solid and spot on response this thread is now locked.
