Make sure you have copied all files in resource.mod folder. Make sure you do not have duplicate files in resource and resource.expansion folders (like pak and pakbu at the same time).

Thank you for your answer....In my resource folder, I have gameData folder, video folder, resource.pak, resource_patch.pak, and resource_PP_01.pakbu...02...03...04. Should I delete or rename some of them?
I have a question. I get stuck on opening the profile part. What program do you use to open it? I tried File viewer plus but I could only read the text not edit.
I personally use notepad++ for all text editing. Even MS vanilla notepad would do.
Thanks that was an obvious one. One other issue though; now it will start loading, go black then give an error of assert failure.

In your Steam\steamapps\common\Majesty 2 Collection
in resource
you should have:
resource.pak
resource_patch.pak
resource_pp_01.pakbu
resource_pp_02.pakbu
resource_pp_03.pakbu
resource_pp_04.pakbu
in resource.expansion_1
you should have
resource.expansion_1.pakbu
same for exp 2 and 3.
If any of the expansion/dlc files were not backed up, either back them up or delete.
After that verify that files in resource.mod were copied properly (should be 556 megs)
after that, verify that the exe files were updated recently (should be the time you run the bat file).

Hello, I tried the fix on win 10 and when I try to lunch the game (GOG.COM version) it gives me an error
Cannot find rpg parameters for entity "castle".
Check file "/gamedata/units/rpg_params.xml" for errors
When I reinstalled the game and the fix, the same error appeared, but the entity change to lizardman or something.
I followed the instruction, copied and pasted the folder and files, pressed the DLCfix.bat, it just dissapeared

what profiles folder i search in majesty 2 and theres no folder called profiles
Same issue here. I just bought this a few days ago and cannot access the dlc pretty annoying. It seems this mod author has disappeared as well since your post is so old with no response. Sad day
.*edit* Actually nvm. I read through the thread some more, and checked and I do indeed have the ice mage tower and assassins guild greyed out so I guess it worked. Thanks!

Because you have not created one yet. Perhaps I should have been more explicit: you need to create a profile, and exit the game. Then once the profiles folder will initialize, go and do the modification as I explained.

I never used it on a gog version. I very highly doubt that the resources are different. Sorry, i dont have a solution for you just now.
So I have been looking through all the posts on this and tried everything that has been said so far and I'm having this issue. This is a new install but I did start the game and exit. I have tried starting each expansion and started a game on vanilla, just to open a mission and save right away. None of these have resulted in me having a profile folder. I have also tried searching inside every folder in the main games' folder. Please tell me I'm missing something obvious haha.
