War was waged across Europe in 1944, and while many commanders led their forces into battle, writing history. Eugene with Paradox gave us the chance to redo it, in a scale never seen before in WW2 RTS.

Now, ESL kicks up the competition a bit, it is not only about winning, it is about being the very best in commanding, and conquering the whole battlefield.

Best of six is like max 4hrs? if it goes all the way.

man i don't know how others would feel but after 3 games vs guy, it gets boring no matter the result.

Besides, casting them games would be a long stretch too.

Allow the higher seeded player to pick fractions or allow mirrormatches.

bo2/bo6 system is ridiculous.

Imagine 16 people show up.

For the people who go to the final that might be up to 10 games. That is almost 7 hours.

you forget that you also have to wait for your opponent most of the time.
maybe + 20/30 mins between some games.

If I understand correct "best of two" means two games, one as allies, one as axis, and the winner is the one with the most points after the second match. This will extend things somewhat as you won't be able to surrender in the first match if every point counts.

Even in the finals...
literally if you are losing and know you'll lose, it's better to just sit there and do nothing rather than surrender.
just for those points...

No, best of two should mean single elimination/ winner take all. Unless it is translation error

Or surrender early once you are sure you will lose but want to minimize points gained by the opponent.

eg A has 1000 pts, B 500, but player A is sure he will lose the game, he can surrender and now if he wins the second game with being less then 500 points down he wins the series.
Otoh player B should surrender in the second game as soon as he has a lead of more then 500 pts.

I don't know if that makes it more exciting or makes it worse.

By the nature of conquest you can easily win with negative points, in some decks usually win this way all the time. If that's the case with the rules, I won't play.
