Disagree. Could show you many of replays where it was not only useful as bait, counter pushing or artillery spotting. Just have to figure out where you get the air support from your ground type units instead. Redundancy is key to this game. Air recon isn't for every deck either.

I used to be completely against the recon planes, but developing a few plays that make use of them changed it for me.

Yeah you can go look up any of my replays. At high tier play they are worthless. They're meme units. I wish they were worth spending points/slots on.

Because no one with a brain spends their air slots on recon. Only when/if they move recon planes to the RECON tab will people discuss them.

Why is this being down voted? He's absolutely correct, if you take a recon plane you're wasting a slot that can be spent on a crucial phase A fighter or a cheap bomber which can help you with pushes or stunning enemy pushes.

Recon planes are easily shot down even by 0 star spitfires in one pass, they can't be used in the opening since you weaken your force by about 15% doing so with no utility being added from taking one, in the later game there's so much AA and enemy air that sending one out is basically suicide unless you have complete air superiority. They're redundant overall

well imo devs don`t care historical correct. real bef pz3 have no main gun, but they have. real db-73 have fixed frontal gun but they have not.
Have you made suggestions with a few sources? I feel like they really are trying to be historical man. Maybe if the OP would make a suggestion for the storch as well. I know the devs look there.

What suggestion do you think I should make and what references would you use? I just opened up the battlegroup, looked at my units and saw the Storch with a rear facing mg. It was that simple. If the Storch didn't have it, why is it modeled? If it did, why isn't it there? Just an observation that's all and a mild joke too.

A hundred Storches making a couple of flights were used to land 500 men during the opening hours of the invasion of France, but they're not listed as transports. Just because it had a capability doesn't mean it needs to be modeled.
