Yeah, I just wanted to be sure though. I mean I suppose it would be fine.. But its always good to get assured compatibility from both sides. Seeing its a event only mod... No idea if that would effect anything in CK2+ or not lol.
Well what I mean is: You can't get assured compatibility from both (pfficial) sides, since CK2+ devs don't guarantee any third-party mods to be compatible. It could be tested again, but all a "compatch-modder" could do is really to test it and see if it works - which from the description, the original modder confirmed. So unless any obvious bugs surface, nothing more can be done about compatibility.
Okay that may have sounded a bit convoluted right there, because it is getting late here... But what I mean with event-only being good, is that events tend to not overwrite other stuff, especially if the are brand-new. Religions, history, mechanics all tend to mess up other related stuff and require compatch work, but entirely new events can be called from seperate files with seperate on_actions, and thus be almost completely independent from other mods. Thus, it is unlikely any compatibility issues even exist with that mod.

I like the tactics and cultural building system of HIP, since it gives you a real incentive to use your cultural retinue, and makes it good.
I would love CK2+ to have that as well as a submod... Retinue and tactics always confuses me.
The only way that would be possible would be to rewrite every cultural buildings and tactics for each culture or culture groups I think. Or maybe it's even more complicated.

Lets be honest here: SWMH is the only mod that needs to be compatible.

SWMH and CK2+ are both wonderful mods, and I wish they were compatible. I would try to do it, but then again if no one has made it so far it cannot be easy.

The "problem" is rather that it is not allowed. The SWMH-team wants to keep their map unique, and while they of course don't have any problem with the map being used by other people (they are modders after all, and share their work for free!), they don't want to see it absorbed by another overhaul mod.
I am not sure what their stance would be on a compatch, but the problem is that maps are a pretty integral part to a mod, and it's not at all easy to simply "compatch" a big mod as CK2+ with an entirely different map. So even if it would be allowed, the work needed would be tremendous.
So I'm afraid it's not going to happen, and you'll have to play HIP to see its beauty. Heck, HIP isn't so bad as a mod ;)

On a side note, if I ever get two straight years of free time on my hands, I'd love to finish Cracked's Map and stuff it into CK2+

Well the reason I wish they were compatible to begin with is because I've already played an awful lot of HIP and cannot conceive to play without such gorgeous mapo_O

You would not need two years.
Well, it might have been a slight exaggeration ;)
Anyway, I mean I don't have nowhere hear enough time for that, plus I am busy with my other projects for now.

Honestly it is not even about the map, but rather the localization for all the cultures. I like how every culture has their own cultural name for Kings, Dukes, locations, etc.
The localization by themselves could probably be ported over relatively easily.

They could, but they won't. Speak English dammit!

If someone doesn't get, this was a reference to yet another HIP mod.

Assuming this is still going, I'd love to see https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=582483573 made compatible. I know the author's mentioned they'd like to, but feel it's too hard to keep up with CK2+ as well as CK2. CK2+ making theocracies playable, even just the Papacy, would basically complete my wishlist of "things I want from CK2."

And if it's not still going, uh, sorry for the necro I guess.

Let me be clear. NO ONE on the Plus team will make any mod compatible with Plus (AFAIK). If you have a mod you'd like to see compatible, you have to do it yourself.
This thread is a community wishlist and it has nothing to do with goals and intentions of the CK2Plus Team.
ah, okay

Patrum Scuta
Playin as Portugal with said mod you can reproduce 99,9% of historical coats of arms (damned Albergarias and Andrades had to be all weird and blue and spoil the picnic :) ), vanilla and Plus coats of arms allows me to reproduce Ferreira, Távora and... well, that's mostly it. It's nitty picky, I know, but since this is a thread about wishes, I think i'm allowed, right?

I know, it's probably unfeasible, but a person can dream.

I would prefer it didn't. The lack of India in SWMH really ruins it for me.

Yep, and that's exactly why I love Cracked's map: It has a better geographical base than the vanilla map, looks nice, and encompasses India and even parts of Greenland. HIP really has a much higher province density and thus a more detailed setup, but that means they can't have India for performance reasons.
