Event is not successful, or the event is successful but no sympathy is gained?

cant find the option to do so at all. i am assuming that it should show up in the diplomacy options? tried as a secret chalcedonian christian in muslim spain and cant find the option either

giving a character the pagan sympathy trait via console command, and i can see the induct into religion option, but no evoke sympathy

The character you target needs to be a vassal, courtier or vassal of the sam liege.

I'll test this later today.

Hello, as instructed, i'm posting a report here for an anomaly (i wouldn't call it a "bug" seems more like a missing localisation )
the anomaly consist of rulers of Sunni religion and a culture of either the "Berber" group or the "Moorish" group having a weird title display in their names, in both cases it consist of the name being displayed as "Sultan/Emir (Name) of (Dynasty) Kingdom/Duchy"
below i provide a collection of screenshots from the 1066 bookmark in the character selector, it's not from an ongoing game, but i assure that the anomaly persist even when the game starts

The High Chief of Lapland in the 1000 start has something wrong with him. His portrait border in the character select screen says he's feudal, but he can't be chosen to play as since the game says he's 'unlanded'. This was also an issue in the 2.7 version.

4.07 beta 4 -- the bug I previously reported with Han Taoist characters having Hindu caste traits was fixed for the starting characters... but I noticed that the auto-generated character for "present debutante" still has caste traits. It's possible that the other courtier decisions also generate with Hindu caste traits too.

Does that happen once you start the game?

beta 4: Had a revolt that can't be resolved. He offered a White Peace. I declined. Now I've won, but I can't negotiate peace. It says that some other character doesn't hold any of my enemies land and therefore peace can't be negotiated. So perpetual war and a broken game.

That means some attacker has one of yout titles occupied. You need to find it, siege it, and then declare war.

yep, the title error remains the same, even if i'm playing as someone else, by the time i look back and iberia is already andalucian, it's already all over the place, my current run as a welsh count is not as bad, since both zaragosa(the emirate, who's already andalucian) and africa(the sultanate turned christian for some reason) are christian and the only countries with that culture (ummayiads have mauretania)

I'm still playing on the version 2.7.2 and the latest corresponding CK2+, as the Archon of a merchant republic, and I have reached a point where I am consistently getting crashes on a very specific date 2 days after the autosave. (The last things I remember doing were going out to gather ingredients, specifically herbs, as a Hermetic initiate, and starting to write a paper, plus I also got the event where I was in seclusion and my daughter begged to go out for the night, only to bring back a peasant boy she wanted to marry.) I checked all four beta changelogs and no found "crash fixes" that I might recognize as responsible for the issue. Would it be worthwhile to upload the save so you can take a look at it, or is there just no chance you'll be able to do something with the save?

On a related note, patrician gameplay has a couple other issues. I got several random crashes during the game (while having, as far as I can remember, zero crashes in my Yngling game, the other game I played to any great length on this version), so I suspect that there may be a merchant republic event that's doing something wrong and crashing the game. (The previous crashes were not reproducible on a specific date though, so maybe not? I dunno.)

Also - I do not seem to be able to call my Court Physician to sick relatives while being a patrician (but not the head of the republic), despite having a physician (I checked).

Finally, I'm not sure if this is WAD or not, but when taking a loan as a patrician (again, while not heading the republic), repaying the loan has no negative financial consequences (unlike normal, when you'd get a tax malus to your counties). You merely have to pay 400 prestige (possibly scaling up with realm size?), compared to 100 prestige for promising to repay later. Just thought I'd mention this in case it wasn't the intended mechanic.

Just wanted to say I've figured out what causes Nomadic rulers to rack up tons of tyranny. In retrospect, it was obvious all along. If you run Conclave with Horse Lords at the same time, the hordes are locked into giving their council privileges to vote on everything and can't change it. Even worse, whether it's 1 county or say, Cumans in 1066 start, they are likely to have all their starting councillors malcontent, or have a malcontent councillor get favors from everyone, resulting in the ruler being unable to do anything without gaining tyranny.

Using: v4.07 BETA4 - Wolfpack

Using: 2.8.1

Hopefully I'm running the correct versions together otherwise this list of bus will be pointlessly embarrassing.

The following rulers of the Byzantine Empire are listed as having died via Childbirth, despite being dudes... Either this is a bug or Byzantium was stranger than I thought. I assume it refers to Blindness but not all of these characters have the blinded trait once they are dead.

  • Isaakios Komnenos (1730)
  • Romanos Lekapenos (1706)
  • Theodosios Apsimaros (70532)
  • Herakleois Herakleidon (145070)
  • Nikephoros Botaneiates (1740)
  • Isaakios Angelos (215500)
  • Ioannes Batatzes (125743)
  • Andronikos Palaiologos (465521)

Unrelated to the above, I was messing around in Tibet and noticed that some armies and county coa were appearing in the wrong provinces.

The County of Nagchu has its armies and coa appear in the County of Gerze.

The County of Nyingchi has its armies and coa appear in the County of Medog.

I noticed that in the earlier starts, d_pentarch_rome gets destroyed within a few days of the start of the game,

vanilla. can't fix without removing chalcedonian christianity.

vanilla. Will need to think about how to fix it...

IDK how, most of them have death_dungeon set.

Do you mind me asking what vanilla bug is causing it?

I hope you find some sort of work around, as the destruction of the title causes no small amount of weirdness. (Western European kings each have their own religious head, Charlemagne can't form his empire, ext.)
