It'll be done when it is done, but that point is getting ever closer. Not this year for sure, but when the year is just slightly under 5 days it doesn't mean that much.

You know, usually i'm highly skeptical of new overhaul mods coming out because I find the vision of said mods exceeds the grasp and patience of the team or person modding. All you have to do is look at the wreckage in the older pages of this section to see the debris of abandoned mods from all sorts of ambitious folks that lacked the fortitude/ability to see their idea's through.

That being said....I hate to give myself any hope, but it looks like this one might actually happen. So kudo's to you devs working on all of this.

The next trick, of course.....is keeping the mod updated through PD's waves of expansions. Not for the faint of heart, but i'm sure they all know this :p

The flow of patches and expansions is slowing down, so there's that.

We are actually pretty close to a release, all things considered. In short, I need to finish some features, replace placeholder characters in history for our first, maybe the second too depending on how willing I am to do that, bookmark, tweak a few provinces in the map and then test it all for bugs.

The graphic side of things is way ahead of my own stuff, with Kalimdor portraits coming along nicely.

Much like Elder Kings, I want to see this modification prosper. Warcraft is so nostalgic and has a history and rich lore. I'm very keen on being able to play in the setting!
While I agree about the settings, EK is a good example how to screw up development badly. More than five years and they still even haven't finished coa's. And the public releases are rarer than Christmas. By the time they will have a solid release (if ever) everyone will already be playing CK3 and it's mods.

I reaaaly hope Warcraft mod will do better. At least there are two CK2 Warcraft mods, so maybe the competition will help :D

Cant say that there not being a stable community of ck2 modding people helps either.
The number of people who pass through each mod crew and the lack of standardization or sharing is quite silly.

Hopefully.

Unless both go to public and one crashes and burns.

Suggestions and questions:

Will you be able to enslave other races?
Will there be a Xenophobic trait?(hatred for other races)
Will you be able to commit genocide to other races, if they live in one of your provinces?
Will there be any invasions from beast races and such to make it harder to control provinces and keep together your realm?
Migration, different races that are receiving plague or genocide will be able to migrate to neighbouring provinces?
Will there be custom buildings?

Is there a possibility for population in settlements down the road?
Will there be different holy order like the Argent Dawn and Scarlet Crusade Etc, and will you be able to join them?
Will there be legandary items such as Frost Mourne, Ashbringer and other items?

I Love the mod and it would be nice if some of the suggestions would be added after the release or something like that :D

-Not currently planned
-Warcraft's !notracism is always weird, frankly I'd rather that come out in roleplaying for characters than have a dedicated trait for it
-Unlike the other Paraducks games there isnt a dedicated genocide button in Ck2, we're not likely to add one
-Yes, this is currently part of the planned events for the monster/horde races (note: not The Horde, but horse lord horde)
-That'd be tricky but possible, however culture flipping due to matters outside of your control can kinda suck for the player (it means decades of headaches) so it's not likely a good system that we'll look into
-Most definitely

-Using the standard ck2 pop method means this is unlikely
-These are in fact planned, we bounce between societies, holy orders, and sometimes both
-There will be but they'll likely be given to specific characters at set dates. We're not followers of the "every paladin gets ashbring" mantra, sorry Legion.

GoT has a submod with this feature, so it can be modded easily enough. Not that it is a must, if it's not lore fitting, of course.

It kinda is if you think about it, most Wars leave vast swathes of Azeroth and Draenor unpopulated by their original owners. The Draenei were nearly wiped out by Orcs, Orcs wiped out most of Stormwind in the First War, the Scourge eradicated the entire living population of Lordaeron and some others, the original Nerubians were wiped out and some others. This could just be handled by modified culture switching events though.

Culture swapping works like in vanilla. There may be exceptions in the future, but that's how it is right now.

Hi, I am in love with your mode. I have been a warcraft fan for a decade and CK II fan since release and I always dreamt of this joint venture to happen. Your mode looks absolutely fantastic and I am incredibly eager to try it!! :D

I am hanging around these forums for a couple of months already. You did a great job with those teases and especially Dev Diaries on profesional level. You have my full support :)

Aside that I would like to ask if you will encompass into the mode some life expectancy differentiations. What is the casual lifespan of the races? :) Will dwarves live for couple of centuries? Are high elves immortal or do they live for thousand years? :) Can orcs live up to 100 years? :) I do not have any results in searching for those details in Warcraft especially, but there are other fantasies one could base his estimates :)

Anyway keep up the good work :)

Going to be interesting if they stick to the canon age tables.
