A user on Steam has asked on several occasions what type of DRM Surviving Mars will use. The person in question voiced fears of using Denuvo and Surviving Mars adding Microtransactions of some kind.

I figured I ask here for a dev response for him. :)
 
Only scum use denuvo and their like. Not a single pdx game I know of uses these types of system. In fact most pdx games you can move the game folder out of steam then delete steam and still play the game.

As for micro transaction I strongly doubt it and would expect a dlc/patch approach similar to other games they publish.
 
Paradox is releasing Surviving Mars on GoG concurrently with the Steam release, so it would be idiotic of them to release a version with Denvuo on Steam concurrently. I think we can safely say that the only DRM the Steam version will have is Steam itself.
