I'm getting this as it looks a lot of fun but there are a couple of things I've seen in videos by the people you gave early access to that seems a tad annoying, so a couple of questions for those that know:

1) Do people automatically do the job they're best at? I've seen so many people struggle with their people being in the wrong job

2) Will you be able to set drones to automatically do a specific job? Micro-management is fine at the start but I can see that it would become tedious later on with a bigger colony

3) Trivial, but will there be a way to get rid of the spoil apart from a waste dump and will there be a graveyard?

Everything else looks a blast

Cheers

1. Yes, but it takes awhile for people to relocate as circumstances mandate. You can also tell them which dome to live in.
2. Yes, they can be programmed to run auto.
3. Soil? Yes, later on is a tech to convert it into concrete. Alas, as far as I know, the exact disposal of corpses is unknown.

Thank you, I mean't spoil/waste as there seem to be piles of the stuff all over the place and it looks messy.

Pretty sure you're wrong. Drones cannot be programmed to do a specific job (for example, just construction, or just maintenance, etc.). They will do whatever they think needs to be done, but that may not be your first priority, meaning micro will be required.

Aye, you are right, and is what I guess I meant by "run auto".

I've seen some people suggesting you should be able to allocate a certain portion of your drones to different tasks, so that for example you'd always have some drones available for emergency repairs. Hopefully they'll consider adding this in a patch.

I think this is correct about drones. But RC Transports you can order to do specific load/unload routes. From the videos I've watched, shuttle hubs will try to balance stockpiles. I think the devs have taken the micromanagement interest seriously and may look into it based on a few threads.

I think someone was posting a wishlist that did just that so you could say have a few drones:
1. Tidy up/move resources
2. Perform maintenance, and
3. Construction

So having different AI packages may be a thing in the future, or we can just keep asking LOL.

On the graveyard, there's one that's been added as a sample mod already (at least in the preview versions of the game), I guess it'll be with the release version of the game too.
But if there is a graveyard, what will you put in the recycling tanks? Think of every citizen's final duty!
