The plan is essentially for me to be the noob and ask Connor and Jordan a bunch of questions. It might be some pretty obvious stuff if you're already on board from the backer beta and previous Battletech experience. But I want to start with some streams where we cover core concept for those that are new to Battletech. By having Connor and Jordan talking tactics I'm hoping that we won't repeat last years pretty miserable stream. :)
I like the format and will be signing in on Thursday. Well done Good Sir!

I really, really like your reference to wanting to "...start the streams..." ~ Woot, Woot, Woot!!! : )

The intention is going weekly from now on, we're trying some new technical solutions which hopefully works out well. I want to get HBS people on as many of the PDX streams as I can, but at the same time they are busy making a game, so there is that to contend with. :)
In those case we have a lot of Battletech fans in the office that are already playing the current build, so we should be covered when it comes to people that understand the game.

Excellent news and a very exciting plan. After following along with HBS for more than 2-years it is incredible that we are so very close now.

I wish you good luck and good BATTLETECH gaming!

Now some BattleTech fans playing the build to help test.... ;)

We'll just be happy with what you can give us!

As one who called that stream out quite heavily on Reddit, I'm really glad to see that Paradox has learned from the experience and are planning and organizing their Battletech streams better.

I really appreciated the acknowledgment that the previous stream ...... could have been improved.

Did the two of you ever have that PvP match where DFA was promised?

Thanks for the heads up - sounds like you have a good plan and I appreciate the candor. Us hooligan fans here need to lay off about the content being more "getting started with Battletech" oriented as that's pretty much what we need for full-on Gitelman‏ia style "in success."

Best of luck and looking forward to it!

eh, that wasn't the complaint about the previous streams.

They blamed their poor knowledge on the game and claimed it was bugged. That's just plain a huge no-no for anyone who is supposed to be advertising a game.

I'm sure most people don't mind it being a stream for beginners where they cover the basics. I can't speak for everyone else, but as one of the most vocal about the last stream (it's on reddit for all to see) I'm happy to see them approach the game this way, and even suggested something like it when I took them to task over their mistakes, which I'm glad they've admitted and are committed to improving.

I know that wasn't the specific complaint about the previous stream.

I was in context with what was coming and the next set of likely complaints here on this specific forum. Regardless of what happened in the past, I would put the odds of a team composed of Jordan, Connor and a Paradox host spending more than four seconds lamenting bugs as being about 0.0000873% likely to happen. ;)

Big picture - "we won't repeat last years pretty miserable stream" from @cKnoor suggests a good bit of self-awareness and humility to me.

I agree with you and must have misinterpreted your post.

Hmm... so Combat Strategies will be the first such core concept covered.

I hope the Mechlab and BattleMech build strategies prove worthy of being the second core concept covered. : )

Thanks for the Headsup and having the stream, one minor thing though: it doesn't show on your twitch schedule - at least not for me.

I'll try to be there for sure!

Depending on the format of the livestream, I will work on a transcript soon after it is concluded. I will try my best to get it out on the same day.

So this is pretty much a Q-n-A stream I hope; not a Single-Player Campaign spoilers stream then.....

I'd love to tune in and watch tomorrow, but even as much as I'm hyped to soak up more info about BATTLETECH, I'm not interested in seeing campaign spoilers in the least!

I'd love to see more of the single player campaign in action.
I doubt we will get very much more of that...if any before release.

It looks to me like this stream will be a playthrough Stream with Jordan and Connor offering advice and discussion to our host, @cKnoor.

I do not anticipate any Q&A from the viewers, though of course that would be much appreciated.

I do not expect a Solo-Campaign Mission playthough (unless it is the Magistracy Metals Mission used earlier) though I very much hope it is a more current version of the game (if not precisely the Launch version) than we have yet seen. THAT would be amazing and most welcome as far as I am concerned. : )
