Just updated to the latest version of the mod (3/29/18) and everyone has agnatic appointment as their succession type. Only running mods are CK2Plus and CK2Plus extension (Add-India). Version of CK2 is 2.8.1.1 GKPJ if any of that helps.

If you have CK2Plus extension you aren't running the latest version. And the correct checksum is GYUK. Verify the integrity of your game cache in steam, delete the mod folder in your documents/paradox interractive/crusader kings II folder, re-download the mod and try the install again. Something is wrong on your end.

Alrighty, got that fixed. Thanks for that! Yet, now I cannot seem to make secret religious cults for pagan faiths? Pardon if I missed it in a patch note somewhere, but was that feature taken away? I can invoke sympathy for paganism, but that seems to be it.

Yes, global secret religious cults were removed.

This is so sad. Doquz is supposed to be Hulagu's wife. Look she even had a son with him. But here in 1241 start she's a courtier of some random insignificant Mongol non-borjigin guy. And she's too far away to interact with. My Hulagu is one sad guy, look how sad he is

tfw no gf :(

Funny enough, the notes seems to know that too but forgot to add it in lmao

Some concerns, not sure if they are bugs or not:

1. The new factions, do they even work ? Played some hundred years, mostly a part of empire, didn't see any single revolt of factions, although they did had from time to time good strength. Seems like they start to invite people before contacting liege with their demands, they vote that, yes, we will send demands... and then nothing happens. No revolt, no laws changed, no event simply nothing. I can, of course, suppose that the faction leader chose to not proceed, but then again no event informs of that.

I can confirm this. The whole faction system doesn't seem to work for me. Installed, deleted and re-installed, problem persists (tested for the Eastern Roman Empire in TOG start): The Glory, Court, Tradition, Prosperity factions exist just fine, but they can demand stuff as much as they want, and they even ask for help outside the faction, the liege never actually does anything, and civil war does not break out. The only faction that seems to work is "Increase Council Power" (and maybe Seperatists).

Even if everybody hates the ruler, large rebellions are very rare. I've repeatedly had the Emperor go heretic and start revoking everyone's lands one by one. After three months, he had everybody at -100 and a tiny levy. Everybody gathered in a large "Chalcedonian" faction with like 600% liege levy - you'd expect a massive uprising once he touches a faction member - but no such thing happened for years while some dukes rose up only by themselves, unsuccessfully obviously.

After the Emperor had successfully revoked about half the empire, the rebellion finally came to pass and was victorious fairly quickly. But nothing happened.
Successful wars against the Tyranny don't seem to remove the current ruler any more. So he just revoked the exact same title that was the casus belli for the huge rebellion, without dissent.

This combined makes the Easter Roman Empire waaaay to stable (and the same seems to be true for other large Empires - the Carolingian Empire persisted without a single large-scale rebellion for over 250 years, then I quit)

On one hand, it's amazing how quickly I fixed this. Factions are one of the most complex parts of the code, and it literally took mi 2 minutes to find the fault once I reproduced it.
However... It's even more amazing how *stupidly* I caused it. I actually added a timed delay for the "make ultimatum" decisions...
So yeah... the next version won't be out soon (big update on the way), but you can fix factions by simply removing "ai_check_interval = <some number>" in decinsions/CK2Plus_faction_decisions.txt.
You don't need to remove them from "targeted_decision", only the ordinary "decisions".

In the Viking Start 867 the count of Zeeland is catholic instead of chalcedonian. //// But on load in it switches back to chalcedonian./////

Something is off with excommunication. I have zealous, brave, humble, charitable ruler with no bad traits and a new Pope (proud craven) just started his reign and he dislikes me a little (-3). Not even a month passed and I am excommunicated at the behest of the Pope... Since the beginning of my ck2plus game my every character who was in red with the Pope or with HRE emperor was excommunicated. It is too common and unrealistic IMHO.

I have ruler imprisonment law, so I don't need their approvals.

Alright, versions, checksums, etc.?

I have made this change on my end. How does editing this file reduce the AI Revolts slightly, I want to change it on my end because The AI map is a bit messy to my liking now. I want a bit of middle ground. Thanks.
