problem:
running out of water/resource can be big problem and getting the information is tedious.

placing metal mine / water extractor should have a way to say you are at
400/640 metal in this mine
2500/5000 in the water and so on

if possible with tabs or any other ui.

thats a good start in the right direction.
I was thinking more like new tab (see screen shot) , that will sum all the mines/water extractors you have, maybe even color code them .. green 50%-100% , yellow 30-50%, red bellow that.
