This question is for Mike, which work of BATTLETECH Art best captures the BATTLETECH experience?
 
Are there any planets in the game where House Steiner or House Kurita offer contracts?
 
Are there missions related to the mechwarriors we have in the crew ? For instance, an old friend of Behemoth asking for her help or during a mission a mechwarrior recognize Dekker and want to take revenge on him ?
 
Sorry it this one has been asked before : are there missions with a tonnage cap (as in MechCommander where some missions must be done with only one mech or two) ? This could allow more strategic choices and variety in the game (do I choose two light mechs for the mission or only one but a medium for instance)

Why was 3025 chosen as the timeline for the game?

Is being set in 3025 limiting in any way as it relates to Battletech Canon? Are there any advantages?

Will the player be exposed in any way to canonical Battletech events in this time period (even if they are only referenced)?
 
Can the main character become "medically retired from combat" i.e. the equivalent of dead in terms of no longer being able to pilot a 'Mech?

How is the Shadowawk Skin pack that backers and folks who preorder put into play? Is it just turned off and on for all Shadowhawks we see in game or can you choose to apply it only to certain Mechs in your Mech Bay?
 
if you do quests for a specific house/clan can we get a better pilot from them? like i want a death commando from the house of Liao,can i get him/her if i questing for the Liao? and can i get rare part from the mech i defeat instead of generic parts. as we know there are legendary mechs in the BattleTech Universe.can we get their part if we defeat them? and can we capture injured pilots and demand ransom from their house?

Serious question though. Do the saved game files get stored as jsons?
Cheaters will want to easily give themselves a ton of money, I on the other hand want to be able to mod in a modified spider into my saved game.
 
I miss the HBS-only Q&A's, they covered lots of questions in a short amount of time. This stream covered like 1% of the questions posted in this thread.
 
Honestly, that was kind of disappointing. Just old news or softball questions being fielded, other than the 21:9 "in success" thing, and them saying they'll try to fulfill all unfulfilled commitments (Linux support, localization) post-launch.

I was hoping for more interesting stuff, but maybe that's just me.

I agree, but perhaps so close to the release they have no such time to read the forum and CKnoor seemed to have chosen only a few to ask to them.
So... we have to wait for the 24th to have answer by ourselves...
 
Why would anyone use light mechs in random missions? So far from all the streamers' plays, there's zero reason to take a spider if you have a medium/heavy mech available. In what scenario would a player be better off with 4 mixed weight class than 4 assaults?
