Sadly, I'm not working on a transcript. Work is eating into my free time and since I need about three to four hours for an hour of transcription, I haven't advanced very far. I will try my utmost best to get the transcripts out as soon as possible.
No worries sir! Life always Must come first.
Your many contributions are already admired.

Take care of pressing business, and know we will always be here when you can return. :)

Thank you so much sir.

If someone else chose to step up to contribute in your thread, is that acceptable ?
Im not saying there is anyone, but just asking in case someone asks me while you're offline.
Its ok to say no.

That Q&A was quite disappointing, few questions anwsered, most questions that came in chat ignored, no real focus on the anwsering of the questions and a lot of chit-chat. I have seen a lot better from HBS before, no idea what they thought of when delivering this performance.

Need transcript.

@Barantor, a fellow moderator over at /r/BattletechGame has posted a transcript [ModEdit: Sorry, Not an Admin approved link]

Anyone else remember the joy Mitch would exude when repeating “battletechgame.com, that’s battletechgame.com” during past Dev Q&As?

Barantor is good peeps and does good work.

I'm sorry to say that reddit is on the no direct links side of things though. Sorry guys.

This is a case where the rules are stupid and only serve to get in the way. How can we direct people to the helpful Q&A transcript? You've already seen it and know it isn't anything nefarious or inappropriate.

... How can we direct people to the helpful Q&A transcript?
Hmm,
Thinking.
Let me spitball here;

We can post it descriptively so they can google and navigate to it.(feel free to edit the above post to do so)
We can repost the info here. Might be polite to ask Barantor if it's ok first.
If he doesn't want to post it here, he can post it to Discord. Discord can be linked to IIRC.
We can ask admin Tiny Wiking to officially approve the link. You could Pm him.

Sorry Paradox, but that was the worst Q&A that has ever been released for this game. I hope you can learn from this to improve later.

So what is the plan for the April 19 stream? I suggest a skirmish match between a HBS dev and a PDX QA tester.

In other words, if you are willing to pack them in like peanuts then you can fit much more than four mechs.

Or...

We could muse speculatively at that empty docking collar on the Argo's port side. Ponder the artistic symmetry that would result from have some Pyromania to reflect the Hysteria. We shall not mention the gratefulness of the chief engineer for not having to generate asymmetric main thrust to compensate for 1900 tons of unbalanced extra mass so far off from the main thrust axis, or whatever it was he said between the profanity.

Then our mercenary minds would consider our balance sheet, and how we would pay for such an addition, not to mention the additional maintenance costs and manpower. "In success", we might say to ourselves, "How would we arrive at such a state that we would need a second dropship on a regular basis? Would we but hire one as circumstances warrant? Perhaps we would prevail upon the contractee to temporarily provide such for we, their happy contractors? If Providence shone down upon us, might we come across a Leopard left orphan, or at least insufficiently attended by ne'erdowells? Whose stony heart could bear to turn away such a thing if it followed them home?"

I daresay, however such a thing would happen, it would be quite a story. Speaking of stories, I heard someone soft-crashed a Leopard on Zathras...

Also, if the Argo had a small-craft bay on its dorsal side (as it likely should considering that it can't enter atmosphere), sufficient to service perhaps four aerospace fighters (in success!), those aerospace bays on the Leopard could be converted into vehicle or infantry bays (more success!). Some Mechanized Infantry accompanied by LRM carriers would make for a handy organic raiding force to partner with the Mechs in order to capture certain buildings rather than blowing them up.

The argo canonically has aerospace fighter bays. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Argo_(DropShip_class)

Replying to myself. The admins don't want you all to have the link. If you want to navigate yourself over to /r/BattletechGame where such petty bureaucracy doesn't occur, we make the Q&A videos easy to vind and the transcript in question is a prominent and hard to miss comment within those topics.

Did you see the "apocryphal" note at the top? ;)
In my opinion, anything Battletech related that Jordan Weisman, one of the primary creators creator of Battletech (can't forget Babcock after all), makes or is incharge of creating, is canon.
I am going to give CGL some time.

With Jordan now back in the business of BATTLETECH, CGL has the opportunity to embrace and Canonize that which Jordan and HBS bring to the franchise.

While I appreciate CGL contributions to the franchise, there would be no BattleTech franchise without Jordan.

Let's see if CGL does the right thing...

Well It should also be mentioned that CGL Line Developer Randall Bills has explicitly stated that the storyline of HBS's game is planned to become fully canonical. Citation: https://community.battletechgame.com/forums/threads/1190

Q: "[D]oes your work on MWO and HBS-BT mean the Hero 'Mech fluff in the former and the campaign storyline in the latter are canonical for the core (CGL) BatteTech lore?"
A (by Randall Bills): "For the Hero 'Mechs, absolutely. And that is the intention with the HBS campaign storyline as well."

If the story is canonical, then the Argo has to be, as it is part of the story.

*LE Sigh.

They obviously didnt think anything because it wasnt their choice. People really ought to do some googling and properly understand the publisher/developer relationship. THIS Q&A was Paradox driven, which means they do it how Paradox wanted it done. Yes it sucked, no it had very little to do with HBS other then them being guests on the "Show", and i wouldnt expect anything different this week, because again...Its publisher directive, and not a developer Q&A as we used to see. We are a week out from launch, we can probably go into it with the info we've been given up to this point and just see for ourselves.

Though I agree with your post, I would still recommend giving it a second chance. Hopefully the host from Paradox (possibly still @cKnoor ) will read the feedback, roll his/her eyes at all the hate, and will make changes to make the next one better. Keep in mind the Q&As are meant for a larger audience than just us forumers.

Only if you care what Catalyst thinks. Given their mismanagement of every FASA product they've gotten their paws on, I don't see much reason to.

Jordan and company are perfectly capable of doing their thing without input (or worse, validation) from catalyst.
