It's called After the End, Fan Fork. It takes place starting in the 2600s in North America after the world has gone through cataclysmic events that brought everyone back to medieval style tech. Norse and Evangelical are some of the playable religions in the mod

I'm sure there used to be instances where someone would start being an adventurer against their wife. I think they fixed that a couple patches ago.
By the way, what are the triggering requirements for that event? I've never seen it.

Formed the HRE then turned Pagan since my king was seceretly practicing the religion. promptly counqured all the required temples and reformed the pagan faith.
