I Know that the Gauss Cannon is a Mag Cannon firing a Projectile. Does that Make it a Ballistics For the +3 TTS?
or because of the fact that it is More of a ( Laser) Beam ( flat Traveling Angle ) is it an Energy for the TTS systems?

Basically the Gauss weapon fires a projectile using electromagnetic pulses with electrical coils.
I found a good explanation of a Gauss weapon at http://futurewarstories.blogspot.com.
Wikipedia also talks about Coilguns (which the Gauss Rifle is). It also has this nice little animation of a simplified three-coil coilgun:

And the best news about Gauss Rifles I've heard in a long, long time ~ was when Kiva mentioned during the Paradox-HBS FLASHPOINT Livestream this past Thursday, that Gauss Rifles will soon be differentiated to at least the "+" and "++" levels. : )
