Let's get back on topic

There is no official announcement, since they are probably just doing it when they got it ready and are sure it's tested.

How ever we can estimate the time, from when hot fix patches and non dlc updates came life in the past

This leads me to the conclusion that 13:00-15:00 sweeden time is the time it's most likely to come out

If i'm playing an older version 1.26.1 at the time the update comes , do I risk something for my savegame? I intend to finish my game but I'm worried due to that GPRD update. Not the update itself, but by the fact that I would be playing when the game is legally updated.

You can go to Steam, EU Properties, Updates, set up Only update this game when I launch it, then when the update is on, don't launch the game and first wait for the keys for 1.26.1 so you can finish your game in 1.26.1. I don't know the risks if you continue a 26 game into a 27 game.

The update has just appeared. http://prntscr.com/l0ucmn

Even the biggest testing team would fail to find all bugs in a patch or in a game, it's normal. The great part about this is that there is always a follow up sub-patch that fixes things. There is nothing to complain about.

I have friends in testing. Most dev companies that have even semi-compent testers will almost certainly know of 99% of the bugs players "find" on release. The issue usually isn't finding them, it's being able to 100% fix them without making things worse before the release date that's been set in stone by marketing/execs/diminishing budget.

Update is suppose to be compatible with 1.26.1, just a little weirdness with the new provinces. If you want to stick to 1.26.1 anyway, if you've linked your PDX account with your Steam one you can get a "beta" code you can use to still play the older versions in a way that GDPR compliant for PDX.

So you think the GPDR thing update will not be a problem? I thought it would deactivate all beta's since they are not legall-ycompliant.

And since I'm playing beta (1.26.1 but sill a beta option) I'd thought I would be expelled and the savegame would be broken.
I'll activate that "only update when I launch option" and hopes that the removing of beta while I play will not affect my game.

Errare humanum est. 99% is not really possible in software development, unless we are speaking about simple games. We are not speaking about bugs that close your computer, but a wrong modifier, a balance issue, a government that works improperly. If we speak about code errors like a missing bracket, a wrong if or an improper loop, well, those are simple issues. Look at each and every game that launches nowadays, or software if you use software extensively. There are always bug fixes, balance improvements, etc. 99% is impossible, mathematically speaking.

Friend that gave me the 99% line was a paid tester for Elder Scrolls Online, and if there is a developer more (in)famous for its bugs than PDX... though thinking back on it, it was probably about the big "obvious" bugs, not the little ones that only show up after thousands of man-hours.

Anyway, I'm not sure that she ment that the devs knew WHY something was wrong, only THAT something was wrong.

1.27 is live, but the Polish/Romanian region is still a mess (regarding locations of cities and provinces). Kind of disappointed because of this.

Game testing must be so cool! Until you had enough.
