Tortured and then Murder Death Killed

So I'm not sure if I'm right or not, but I sent an army to fight some clansmen and one of the commanders ended up in a duel, got captured, tortured a bunch of times, and finally killed. As a result I was flooded with 15 or so pop ups. Below is me just spreading some out for ambiance. I assume this isn't part of the normal notification spam (bug?).

That's the most horrifying fate for a person I've ever seen in this mod.

He already has 6 injury and disability traits. Castration and some disease would've been a nail in the coffin. Poor guy.

I checked just now, and yes, I have that game rule set to on for "release prisoners after punishment"

I'm not sure if I can recreate this, and as I'm not an aficionado when it comes to determining if it is a bug or not, unless it licks me in the face like this one from ages ago in an earlier version that made me marry the marshal I just killed in a raid

I wonder if this is the sort of spam the AI gets when we repeatedly torture characters from their courts?

That sounds like the old Endless Tournament bug from back in 2012-13.

Well at least he got to keep his noggers and wasn't fed to a dragon.

I have a save three years prior to the event, just ignore muh shameful use of cheats on traits and stewardship though.

Happen to me as well, a poor fella died 5 times in a battle suffering a different injury each time. I believe the bug is in the duel system
