Please please dont release it even a day early make it the masterpiece it deserves
Do you have any idea how silly that remark is? As if one day would suddenly make it bad. Not to mention this thing as been in development for over three years as of last week. Better to release it and then fix it as needed. We're on the forum of a company that has made its fortune by doing that very same thing.

Nope, never have. However, with so many other modders creating memorable mods including another Warcraft mod perhaps one should not be so uncritical of this situation?

I dont think you understand the amount of work it takes just to get event working right and bug fixing working the coding and making sure that they work correctly doing the events and mechanical s with coding is the hardest and most time consuming pluz this mod has smaller team then other mods and the other warcraft mods so broken its almost unplayable i wish they waited pn release

Again, I admit my ignorance of all aspects of modding but I point out yet again others have released over the years and intervening versions. This has not and I feel that treating this mod like the Second Coming is bad for both us and the mod due to raising expectations and falling into the old trap that is summed by, "The perfect is the enemy of the good."

Tell me, what would you prefer for lunch? To eat a turkey sandwich today and eat a better meal tomorrow or sit by a kitchen door and smell what might be a five-star meal being prepared and eat nothing today for the possibility something will be made tomorrow.

Dude look up when the other teams started like the Got for instance they had a bigger team and started years before this mods team even thought of making this mod it took more than 3 years to come out this is a total conversion if this was just a paintjob it wouldnt take as long. Coding is hard work some time it takes litteraly days to get 1 event working and then when you work anouther event if you dont
Do the 2nd one exactly right it will break the other event and you pretty much have to start over now think of the amount of event just in the 1st war alone

I can't help but notice that nothing about you just said disproves my point. The mod is not released and has not been released and failing to acknowledge that is making you sound like a silly fanboy.

Now, allow me to clarify something, I think this mod absolutely has the potential to be great, perhaps the greatest CK2 mod. But as of this moment, that's all it is, potential, and making fanboy squeals about nothing does no one any good.

I just told you the Got mod started 10 years before this mod of course its released same with the warhammer mod it you want a ck2 with a warcraft paint job go to Guardians but you want a warcraft game stay here.when Guardians realeased it didn't even have a 1/10 of what was promised in just 1.0 it was litteraly just ck2 on a wow map and with half done portaits with 10 event i dont want that. i like that there focusing continents by continent making everything perfect Guardians dosent even have Saurfang and Calias hair is blonde not black wtf(is Guardians her hairs black for some reason)

And yet Guardians, with all its faults, as of this writing, is still a better actual mod as it has been released. Now would this mod blow it out of the water if released, of course. But it hasn't. Now you might say that is a low standard and I agree. Yet it is something.

Now, you might think I want the mod released now. I don't, though you would be forgiven for thinking otherwise. At most, I would like a short tweet-esque post once a week saying, "Hey, I did X this week.) I just think your attitude of blind fanboyism is very unhelpful as it drowns any and all concerns under a loud squee.

I agree that they probably should update more but i dont think that a weekly update i think they probably should do a monthly post. being like we been working on blank and we done blank but the thing is one member could spend days working on something and then ingame it doesnt work as well as planned pluz they have to test features and mechanics and event and see if they work or not they probably dont want to hype people up on a things that will be scraped by the time of first release or even scraped all togeather

I think you're the first man I've ever met who's argued that a nonexistent game is better than one that does. It's a mite hard to play something that does not exist.

I really don't want to get into this argument, but Ceslas is right at least regarding posting more stuff. Kind of effed up there.

There hasn't been too much to show from what I'm doing, namely: naming every single barony, for every single county. That's about 3241 baronies. Each needing its own unique name. Even using name generators, it still takes a long time. But I'm happy to announce that I'm nearly done on that front! There's only 63 baronies left, which appears to be a lot but after all this? It's nothing. So very soon we'll start posting little things every now and then.

As for taking 3 years, it's frankly been a rough 3 years when it comes to personal issues, and let's leave it at that.

Then you haven't been around the internet all that long.

You don't have to qualify your work pace or give any reasons. You're a modder; you're doing this for free and don't particularly owe any one here anything.

People like to forget it's a free service modders provide.

I occasionally dabble in making personal lite submods for my favorite mods and when I wanted to port this one particular feature from one mod to the other? I spent 7 hours working on ONE event to get it working the way I wanted it to.

It turns out I was just missing a couple brackets in script. Yet it took me so long to find even with services like the validator. If someone offers to shovel your sh*t for free don't complain that it takes long. It's hard and can be kind of unrewarding sometimes considering how minor an effect something that can take hours out of your life can have on the actual game.

Yup. If you're unhappy with the pace of development, the best way to speed it up is to join the team and take on some of the load. It is not to complain on the forums that the devs aren't working fast enough or that they need to give out more info or ask if the mod is dead. You don't have the time to dedicate to working on the mod? Now you know why development can sometimes slow down.
