i would help in the modding as well if i could, i waited for years for someone to make a mod of platonism stuff (i dont know why paradox does not, but i guess... it will be an 20 dollars dlc if they do@Emperor5000 Oh darn, you've already moved pretty fast to play with the new stuff! D:
Anyways, probably won't add more stuff anytime soon as you say, but it doesn't hurt to have some stuff in the backlog to add in the future, so thanks for the ideas!
how many books of harran did you have in the list (i have three and i want to know if it is more to come) and something else, you must be hellenic to have a chance to get the special people of harran like the money lenders the platonic fanatics etc?@Emperor5000 There is a random event where a Harranian courtier can educate another courtier, randomly raising one of their stats, indeed! It was actually in the first version of the mod too, but if I remember correctly how I coded it, it's not too common an event for obvious reasons.
The Peloponnesian Immersion Pack is almost done, hopefully will be able to release Sunday if I have enough time this weekend. Here's a couple of preview pics of the last stuff I coded, flavor events and such:

After that, I'll move onto a pretty small Immersion Pack focused on Cremona (literally one province, yes).
@Emperor5000 There are seven potential Harranian books in total, the chances of getting them are random but slightly dependent on your courtier's traits and attributes. For the special modifiers, whenever a Harranian courtier is generated - no matter the liege's culture, religion, traits, etc. - they have a chance of getting one of those special modifiers, though they may also spawn without one.
And awesome, you managed to get both Harranian bloodlines, huh!
no problem, you do a hard job bro@Emperor5000 I was testing the event so I just gave him a random dynasty lol - but if I understand correctly his family name should be Gemistos then. The "Plethon" part is actually a nickname the character is granted when he is generated. Anyways atm since the last available start date is 1337, before he was born, the way the event works is he's a random courtier that can spawn in the Peloponnese after 1300, but more likely after 1400, to offer a bit of variation (sort of like how the Timur or Joan of Arc events work).
EDIT: oh and I see what you meant with the error with Georgios, for some reason I think when I was coding it at night I wasn't thinking straight and put in Gregorios lol
no problem, you do a hard job broi know you can fix it, a joan of arc-like event (lol, i only imagine what you are going to do
) yes plethon was a nickname and he was born in 1355, so i imagine is no other that plethon himself when he appears, you make a great pagan-middle ages game flavour and i know you have other plans as well for athens crete or something like that...but dont tire yourself, i know you had health problems a few years back (i hope you are well now) and i am glad you are back i was a fan of HIP myself and i know when your immersion packs are finally over and combine with CK2+ when it updated i will have a hell of a game to play
i already like the Harranians (and you are the only reason i make a reaserch for them
) the last thing i want to ask it is if you have a plan to add peloponese mod in steam in your packs as well, i only see that in the forums here only by luck
PELOPONNESIAN IMMERSION PACK IS NOW AVAILABLE!

After a month or so of work, it's finally up! The Peloponnesian Immersion Pack focuses on the Peloponnese, and includes a lot of simple mechanics and flavor to make playing this part of the world more interesting.
Features include the following:
There will likely be a second update to account for any bugs or issues, but I will likely not be adding in any more big features to this myself. The next immersion pack will be Cremona: Before Stradivarius. It will be much smaller in scope - only covering one province - but stay tuned for more info.
- New Tsakonian culture in the Byzantine culture group that can raid and are seafarers. The culture is added via a hidden event at game start for maximum compatibility.
- Local Slavs, Tsakonians, and Maniots may arrive at your court or be levied via decision to fight your wars.
- Maintain the Hexamilion wall to protect the peninsula from invaders.
- As a Hellenic pagan, promote ancient Dorian culture by restoring the sacred Corinthian fountains of Peirene or hosting the ancient Spartan festival of Hyacinthia.
- Take advantage of local industries, including Corinthian Silk, Kalamata Olives, and Tyrian Purple Dye - but be careful, as the collapse of the Roman Empire might signify a decline in these industries
- Several historical characters such as Danielis and Georgius Gemistus, aka Plethon, can appear randomly via event and have some special flavor associated with them.
- And other miscellany, such as 6 Greek-themed soundtracks, 15 generic flavor events, 2 book artifacts, and some new Greek dynasty names
And here are some screenshots (please see the Steam workshop link for more):

Thank you! I'm glad to be meeting your expectations.
And yes right now with the Peloponnesian pack Plethon will appear randomly after 1300, though more likely in the late 1300s or 1400s (since the last game start date, 1337, is before his birth date of 1355). There is a high chance he'll eventually create a book artifact, Nomoi/Book of Laws.
hahahahah you done it?? i will check it at once, and you will have my report soon, what version of the mod you use for the flags you have there...they are soo cool
so for the report plethon event works well and i have many years with this over-buffed philosopher...he was a great servent but unfortunatly died from natural death in 61...without complete the nomoi book(damm it
)
So what are your ideas for Cremona? I know that violins were invited at least a hundred years after the end of the game so what will the theme be? The building of a cathedral? Some troubadour action?
That's a good idea. I am glad you are working on something a little less ambitious. But if you don't mind I have a very silly question. I have made a few mods in the past and at the moment I am maintaining a portrait mod for a mod called after the end, a total conversation set in a medieval America. I love your viet mods and am thinking that After the end fans chould use some of your fun events. With that in mind whould you be ok if I made Viet compatibility patches for after the end? My idea is just to make most of the events work in the mod and edit a few localizations to fit the setting. Would that be alright or is that not a thing you approve of. If you are ok with that is there anything I should keep in mind adapting your work to be compatible in a mod? Many thanks.I am currently using Patrum Scuta for the flags. My suggestion for flags is either that or Arko's mod (which I think is still a part of HIP), though honestly the only reason I use either is mainly because the vanilla Muslim COAs suck.
Oh damn, you did a Hellenic run that late in the game? Anyways, yeah the way it's coded there's about a 9-10% chance each year (if my math's correct) that he'll compose the Nomoi book, so you probably got pretty unlucky there.
Won't go into details until I fleshed them out more, but atm there will probably be something related to the Torazzo of Cremona as a special building/decision/events/something. Also probably something related to torrone as well and some miscellaneous flavor like random events and music. Might be a couple narrative events about the birth of the violin since it's around the tail end of CKII's timeframe (appears the first modern violins were from the late 1400s/early 1500s), but honestly vanilla CKII stretches a lot of things anyways lol.
Overall, it's not going to be anywhere as big as the Harranian and Peloponnesian packs, relatively speaking. Wanted a bit of a break before I do something much bigger for Socotra and/or something else I have big plans for.
