after playing the game all weekend there are 3 suggestions I would make to make the game better on console

1. instead of having to click the b button to cancel out of the ribbons (management, outliner, resources, alerts), just clicking the d pad should take you to that ribbon.

2. after giving a command to a ship it should deselect automatically. for eg. if I command a science ship to scan a system it should deselect so if I click something else it it doesn't undo the command I just gave it.

3. lastly remove or separate the "universe roar" sound effect when you zoom in. I've muted it on the ambient sound tab but then i lose other s/fxs. sometimes I just want to zoom in & take a look at things without that annoying sound.

these are all relatively minor issues which don't take away from an otherwise fantastic game. ;-)

I disagree completely with one and two. Perhaps three could be toned down slightly, but it's not an issue.

For issue 2 that would add more clicks for ships. U would have to reselect them in order to chain orders. Redundant.

For 1 if u change that then u limit the ability for PDX to add more interface options.

I highly disagree with number 2. At the moment there isnt any sure fire way to cancel your current command chain if say you misclicked a path u want a science ship to survey or something. In those instances, u can give a standard order to a unrelated system, then start your chain orders back over with another standard order followed by your chain orders. If you made that change it would make the menu very frustrating for misclicks because attempting to cancel your current order chain would cause the ship to be unselected.

so the obvious solution would to put my suggestions in the options. let people decide how they want their ui to work. ;-)

More options are always good. I just like the current functionality of the standard select clearing out your previous selections and starting a new chain. It will help multiplayer quite a bit when things generally do not pause unless everyone takes a break at once.

If paradox could improve something it would be .... if you give your science ship the task to go out and find the wonders of Stellaris you click on the first place where he has to go than on the second third and so on you can click on a lot of places where he has to go .
But ...... suddenly when he is on the road he comes across a enemy so he has to escape or be killed , when this evading is over you have to click again on all the places where he has to go can be a bit of frustration when you are future in the game .
Why not let the science ship escape and than go back around the enemy to continue with his task .

also a great idea, I would also like an automated explore button, which makes the science ship just explore non stop.

Um...mine did that just last night. He ran into a ruby swarm, escaped, then went on to the next system on his list.

What I wish is that you could insert a research project or just be able to bump it up to the top.
