Hi,
Question in the round:
I have extreme lag problems in the Mech Bay. For example the process of removing the complete equipment (strip equipment) in one mech takes over a minute.
It takes almost 30 seconds for the selected mech to load.
Strip Equipment, Confirm, Confirm, and until Mech Bay's main view reappears pass again 40 seconds.
With CFixes 1.4.0.2, the overall procedure is reduced by perhaps 10 seconds
That was not so before. I have no idea if it is the BT 1.5 Patch, MechEngineer, CAC or the XLRP 1.3 in itself.
Does anyone have similar problems?

Battletech Performance Fix is no longer working in 1.5 and needs an update. This is what the modded game is like without BTPF, unfortunately.

@ XTRMNTR2K
1. The SLDF Mechs (In my case Stalker SLDF and Atlas II SLDF) have Equipment that can not be removed or replaced (Cockpit, DHS, Armor, Structur). It's a bug or a feature?

Feature. Otherwise players would just rip out the juicy stuff from some SLDF Mechs, like the Griffin for example, and stuff it into their Assaults.

Plus, there's no one around who actually knows about how to properly remove the equipment without destroying it in the process. And these Mechs are *ancient* in the first place.

If you manage to find Endo-Steel or DHS somewhere, however, now that is a different story... Yang knows his Mechs, so taking apart and improving the things he *knows* isn't a problem.

2. Stability Gyros:
With the Standard Gyro I have a stability of 100.
With Stability Gyros it shows me only the compliance value
(10, 20, 30). It's a bug or a feature?

They only show the bonus (reduced stability damage taken) but the values check out. There were wrong before but should all be correct now.

I am not getting this lag issue without the performance fix...

Is this a HDD issue?

Nope, I'm using an SSD and still get long loading times when opening the MechLab (skirmish, especially) and lag when switching weapon categories, as well as a noticeable fps hit when scrolling the full list of weapons.

With BTPF I wasn't getting any of that.

@XTRMNTR2K .. thanks for answering the questions. As for the BTPF and this lag issues,do you recommend bypassing that mod until an update is released or shall individual users install it and test it accordingly? As for the game update, it was that I understood that the latest HB patch for the game was 1.4 and yesterday I saw that there was a 1.5 patch. I am still on vacation, but returning home late Tuesday afternoon and firing up my computer and installing the updated mod is priority number 1.

@XTRMNTR2K,
thanks for answer.
I see here
[Mod edit:no unapproved links: please no direct linking to nexus/github]
that is working on an update for the BTPF. Unfortunately, the code is still uncompiled and unpublished. It hould probably not last long.

Edit:
cFixes for 1.5 is online

Removing BTPF or not is your choice. It doesn't load properly anyway, so there shouldn't be any difference.

1.5 is the latest update. ModTek and XLRP have been updated, but you may experience issues trying to load your old pre-1.5 savegames. Players have reported such issues with modded savegames, but I have no idea why. I was affected as well.

@karlo73 That's good to know. Looking forward to the BTPF update.

There are News about an Update for CAC-Functions/ Update-Implementation?

Already on top of things. :D

KMiSSioN added a new function that loads WeaponRealizer differently, which doesn't affect normal users but is a huge help for me. It also makes the implementation of both mods much more streamlined and elegant.

Please don't expect another XLRP update chock-full of new content soon, though. The next large update will mostly contain quality of life improvements, optimization, balancing changes and bugfixes, but I don't want to rush any of it. Additionally, the next major release should also make installing the mod and its content a little easier and more convenient.

Thanks for the details instructions on installing the mod and all the extra flavor... much appreciated!

My pleasure, I'm glad it helped.

Woohoo.... XD. Did watching the video make the processes complexity dawn on you a little bit? XD.

Well that too. :) But mostly I unexpectedly got help with a few things, so it'll be somewhat less folder-juggling for 1.4, especially for the optional stuff.

@XTRMNTR2K ... back at home and ready to get busy updating the game... but all your links to the mod and the recommended mods is not active.... have they been deleted? I checked with both chrome and Internet explorer.

It was a moderator edit affecting pretty much all links in the modding subforum. This is what the forum rules have to say:

7. {No External Links} You will not post a link to an external website or forum without prior approval of an Administrator. (Sites with no user interaction (that only host media are okay, as long as that media meets and obeys all other rules) You will not link to images on other websites unless you have authorization to do so (or the site is designed for that purpose). This kind of "hot linking" is stealing the bandwidth of the server you link from, and is not appreciated. You will not post material (including text, images, graphics or other artwork) unless the copyright is owned by you, and/or Paradox, and/or the material is not in violation of any NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that you may have signed, and/or you have the expressed permission of the copyright holder to do so, and/or you fully attribute the holder of the copyrighted material.

So I guess it's been a long time coming.

Doesn't mean I agree with it.

In any case, if you have any complaints or suggestions to make about this rule, feel free to do so.

EDIT: In case you don't know where to find the mod, check the Nexus (or youtube video). Both pages contain all necessary links.

All the links are in the description of my youtube video.

I hope that helps.

Well I updated the game, verify the files and downloaded all the files. I installed the game per the instalation guide from edmon... everything looks great, until I start a new campaign... there are no mission on the U'cusine (or something like that planet), so I choose another planet. I leave orbit, you see the Leopard moving but there is no change to the date.... I installed also the BTPF mod....

This is a clean installed.

looks like there is a new patch just released, no official notes yet but if it is then it may well break mods...

@XTRMNTR2K ...one curiosity question, when downloading and installing the XLRP, does version 1.3.1 is the only one needed to be installed or would required the previous version? I asked because reading a prior message answer you said that this is only an update or that only some things were updated.

The releases are always *full versions*. In fact, when a new one is released I advise you to always delete all traces of the previous one before installing the new version.
