Hello to everyone.
I have a question about the gameplay, why the research itself reveals itself in a random order, even before landing on the planet. The icon of technology to be developed shows the numerator in percent. In the later game, even on two technologies.

None of these options before starting the game have been turned on. Simply, the technologies themselves begin to discover without choosing any. In addition, during the further game other technologies start to be discovered with a percentage counter.

This sounds waay to much like a mod is active.

This happens if your landing spot has a water deposit already revealed OR you are using the Inventor or Geo Engineer commander profiles > https://survivingmars.paradoxwikis.com/Commander_Profile .
These provide us with a Breakthrough technology. Which just like revealing water is a Milestone. And Milestones provide research points > https://survivingmars.paradoxwikis.com/Milestone .

When you have no selected technology for research any bonus points from anomalies and milestones go to the cheapest revealed technology in the research list.

Since you have no mods that screw your game.

This mechanic is the only explanation. It was added because ppl complained that they did not want to lose research points rewarded from completing milestones.
Now you don't lose the points, but you cannot chose 1 of the 6 techs where you want the points to go. The points from the milestone reward go by random in 1 of the cheapest techs.
Also you may notice if you don't select any tech to research. If you have research points coming.
The game will start putting the points in the cheapest tech every time there is no tech selected by you. You will notice the percentage go up even if you queue of selected techs is empty.
This mechanic is specifically for the players not to lose any research points from anything.

For mods.
I suggest only the mods that show the maximum range of effect of the Triboelectric Scrubbers and the Subsurface Heaters when you are about to place them. And the dust areas of all buildings that have that when you select 1 of them or you are about to place 1 of them for building.

Also I'm not sure if there is a mod for the domes. When you click on 1 dome to show you the effect areas of all domes on the map.

These IMO are OK quality of life mods. Any other mod is possible to screw up your game. Specially with official game patches that may come in time.

I was not sure it exists. I don't use any mods for now.
I just knew if I mention it that you would pop up right away. :)

I guess it's nice to have a mod where you click on a dome or are about to place one for the work areas of all the domes on the map to show up also. Just like how it works normally for when you select or place a scrubber or a heater. The problem on these in the normal game is that it does not show their max effect areas until you actually build them and use the slider. I don't know WHY they programmed it like that. It just makes no sense.

The mods I mention and this one for the domes I, actually will use. It's just for quality of life.
 
Yes I knew the other quality of life mechanics I mentioned already had mods except for the dome areas.

This will help when placing domes and any exterior building that needs workers. Specially when you want a building like that to be accessible from 2 or even 4 domes.
 
I mean all grids of all domes on the map not just 1.

Also it's nice to see all dome grids/work areas when you place a new dome to plan beforehand placing outside buildings that require workers.

For example you want to place a Drone Assembler/Fusion Reactor but you want it to pull workers from 2, 3+ domes. But you haven't placed all the domes you plan to build.

When you place the new domes it's nice to be able to have all the dome grids visible so you will know how far or close your domes can be and have the perfect space for the Fusion Reactor .
 
It does show up for all domes...
Am I missing something in translation?

Yes, but exactly THIS look shows up ONLY when you are about to place an exterior building that needs workers.

When we click on a dome(finished or only a blueprint) or on the Dron Assembler/Fusion Reactor/Rare Metals mine(and so on) when it's ready. The dome grids don't show up. So you can see again what's going on. Since it's possible to make a mistake and you build that building a bit to the right and it's not in the area of the 2nd dome for workers to come.

I want to see all the domes work areas when I click on a finished dome. Or when I'm about to place a dome for building. Or when I click on my working Dron Assembler/Fusion Reactor/Rare Metals mine.
This will help me planing my base better.

Yeah pretty much.
Only outside buildings that require/workers. Showing the dome grid when I click on something like a concrete extractor will be pointless.

We've gone waay of topic here . XD

On a side note. Can you help me a bit with the wiki ?
