Hello,

I've noticed that, sometimes during mega-wars, when the Lords Paramount are already at war with one of their vassals, they remain a vassal of the Iron Throne instead of going independent. This allows the king to directly raise their levies, and once they join the megawar they raise their levies once more. This allows the king to have 2x the amount of troups

Since making them go independent could possibly mess things up, I was wondering if we could somehow make it so the king can never raise the Paramount levies directly.

Thanks

I've tried to abuse this system when revoking titles or imprisoning direct vassals: raising LP levies to have the double amount of troups. Once the Mega war kicked in, the levies I raised just dissapeared. Maybe it doesn't always work but I think that's how the mod creators wanted the things to work, to prevent the player from abusing this system :)

During Aegon's conquest you can raise the levies of the kings you conquered the day the event for the next one fires. This allows you to get their levies and their actual armies if they join the war.

Note that with absolute crown authority, the realm will not be split when going to war, and the king will use Lord Paramount levies normally.

I think the problem with that is it will skew the the AIs war calc. You'll have a lot of free cities declaring slaver wars against the Iron Throne directly if the army size doesn't take into account vassal levies of the LP.

Tbh I like it, it makes the AI more opportunistic at times, like the whole "outsiders attacking one of your vassals while you fight a big war" that totally happened IRL and in the GOT universe

Which already happens when the LP becomes independent during megawar.

Making the LPs count for zero in war calc all the time means cases when you're at peace but it lists your army size at 20k from the Crownlands even when you have all the LPs at 100 opinion. Then Braavos thinks to itself, I could totally take this guy on, thus getting owned royally. It makes the Iron Throne appear vulnerable even when it's not and probably lead to absurd war declarations during peace time all the time.
